Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
City Circle
Friday 14 May
- From 11pm until 2am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May
- Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.
T1 North Shore Line
Thursday 13 May
- From 11.30pm until 1.45am, buses replace trains from Gordon to Hornsby, in that direction only.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Lidcombe and Central.
- From 10pm Saturday until 8am Sunday, trains run between Berowra and Wynyard only. Some trains start and end at North Sydney.
- From 11.50pm Saturday until 4.30am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Central and Strathfield.
T1 Western Line
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May
- Trains run between Emu Plains or Penrith and the City to a changed timetable, making extra stops at Flemington and Homebush.
- Richmond trains run between Richmond and Leppington only. If you are travelling towards the City change trains at Parramatta.
- On Saturday from 9.50pm until 11.50pm, and Sunday from 4.30am until 8am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12.
- From 11.50pm Saturday until 4.30am Sunday, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Thursday 13 May
- From 10.20pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May
- Buses replace the all-stations Homebush trains between Strathfield and Redfern.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Granville, every 30 minutes and do not stop at Ashfield.
- From 9.50pm Saturday until 8am Sunday, trains run between Leppington and Olympic Park via Granville.
- If you are travelling towards the City change at Lidcombe for trains via Bankstown or Strathfield.
- From 11.40pm Saturday until 4.30am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Strathfield and Central.
T3 Bankstown Line
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Sydenham and Central.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
Monday 10 to Thursday 13 May
- Nightly from 9.50pm until 1am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe. Buses run between Wolli Creek and Sydenham, and between Wolli Creek and Arncliffe.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Sydenham and Central.
T5 Cumberland Line
Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 May
- Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Granville, and between Granville and Leppington only.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May
- Extra trains run between Richmond and Leppington.
T7 Olympic Park Line
Saturday 15 May
- From 9.50pm until 8am Sunday, extra trains run between Olympic Park and Leppington.
T8 Airport & South Line
Friday 14 May
- From 11pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central, platform 23.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May
- Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
- Revesby trains run between Revesby and Central, platform 23, via the Airport.
- Most Macarthur trains towards the City run to the City Circle via Sydenham. If you are travelling to Airport stations change trains at Revesby.
- Trains from the City Circle run to Macarthur via the Airport.
- Some morning and evening Macarthur trains start and end at Central, platform 23, and run via the Airport.
T9 Northern Line
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
- On Saturday from 10pm until 11.40pm, and Sunday from 4.30am until 7.50am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12.
- From 11.40pm Saturday until 4.30am Sunday, buses replace all trains between Strathfield and Central.
Blue Mountains Line
Monday 10 May
- The 03:42 Lithgow to Bathurst service will leave Lithgow at 04:06 and run up to 24 minutes later than the normal timetable.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
- On Sunday from 12.20am until 2am trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Parramatta only.
- T1 Western Line trains run between Parramatta and Strathfield only.
- Buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central.
- Trains from Parramatta to Blue Mountains Line stations run up to 30 minutes later.
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Monday 10 to Thursday 13 May
- Nightly from 8.45pm until 1.15am, buses replace trains from Newcastle Interchange to Morisset.
- Buses travelling towards Wyong may leave from stations Newcastle Interchange to Dora Creek up to 45 minutes earlier than the normal train timetable.
- Some trains from Morisset to Central run to a changed timetable.
- Nightly from 9.10pm until 3am, buses replace trains from Morisset to Newcastle Interchange.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
- From 6.25pm Saturday until 3.30am Sunday, buses replace trains between Hornsby and Morisset.
- Some late night trains run between Central and Berowra. If you are travelling to Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations change at Hornsby, not Berowra, for a bus.
- From 11.50pm Saturday until 4.30am Sunday, buses replace trains between Central and Morisset.
- T9 Northern trains run between Strathfield and Hornsby only.
Hunter Line
Wednesday 12 May
- Buses replace selected services between Maitland and Muswellbrook.
Saturday 15 May
- From 6pm until 3.45am, buses replace trains between Telarah and Newcastle Interchange. Some buses from Newcastle Interchange continue to Singleton.
South Coast Line
Monday 10 to Thursday 13 May
- Nightly from 10.30pm until 1am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make extra stops at Mortdale, Arncliffe and Sydenham. Buses run between Wolli Creek and Sydenham, and between Wolli Creek and Arncliffe.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May
- Trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Sydenham and Central.
- On Saturday from 8am until 4pm, at Coalcliff and Stanwell Park, trains towards the City leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
- On Sunday from 8am until 4pm, at Coledale, Wombarra and Scarborough, trains towards the City leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
