Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
- Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking, cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.
- It is strongly recommended to wear a face mask in indoor public spaces and when you can’t physically distance from others.
T1 North Shore Line
Hornsby lift to platforms 2 and 3 out of service
- From Tuesday 4 October to Monday 12 December, the lift servicing platforms 2 and 3 at Hornsby Station will be closed for maintenance.
T1 Western Line
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October
- Penrith trains make extra stops at Flemington and Homebush.
- Richmond trains run between Richmond and Leppington only
- From 10pm Saturday until 6am Sunday, buses replace trains between Parramatta and Strathfield.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Monday 10 to Thursday 13 October
- Nightly from 9.40pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Leppington and Fairfield.
- Trains run between Fairfield and the City via Granville, and between Glenfield and the City via the Airport.
Wednesday 12 October
- From 10.20am until 1.20pm, buses replace trains between Leppington and Liverpool.
- Trains run between Liverpool and the City via Granville and Bankstown.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October
- Buses replace the all-stations Homebush trains between Strathfield and Central.
- From 10pm Saturday until 6am Sunday, buses also replace trains between Merrylands and Strathfield.
T3 Bankstown Line
Monday 10 to Thursday 13 October
- Nightly from 9.40pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Liverpool and Villawood.
- Trains run between Villawood and the City, some to a changed timetable.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October
- Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Bankstown.
- Trains run between Liverpool, Bankstown and the City, some to a changed timetable.
T5 Cumberland Line
Monday 10 to Thursday 13 October
- Nightly from 9.40pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Leppington and Fairfield.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Fairfield and Richmond.
T8 Airport & South Line
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October

- Some trains from North Wollongong towards Central also leave from platform 2.
Southern Highlands Line
Saturday 15 October to Saturday 3 December
- On most Saturdays from 10am until 4pm, buses replace trains between Campbelltown and Moss Vale.
