Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
City Circle
Monday 12 to Thursday 15 April
- Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April
- Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.
T1 North Shore Line
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April
- Trains run between Berowra and Wynyard only.
- A shuttle train service also runs between Lindfield and North Sydney.
T1 Western Line
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April
- Penrith trains run between Penrith and Central, platforms 1-12, only.
- Richmond trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Olympic Park only.
- On Sunday from 6.30am until 9.30am, Penrith trains make extra stops at Flemington, Homebush and Burwood.
- On Monday from 1am until 1.30am, buses replace trains from Central to Strathfield.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Monday 12 to Thursday 15 April
- Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April
- Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.
- Buses replace trains between Ashfield and Central.
- Leppington trains run between Leppington and Ashfield only, making extra stops at all stations between Homebush and Ashfield.
- On Sunday from 6.30am until 9.30am, buses replace trains between Strathfield and Central.
- Leppington trains run between Leppington and Olympic Park only.
T3 Bankstown Line
Monday 12 to Thursday 15 April
- Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April
- Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.
T5 Cumberland Line
Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 April
- Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Granville, and between Granville and Leppington only.
T8 Airport & South Line
Monday 12 to Thursday 15 April
- Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 22/23, due to trackwork on the City Circle.
- City Circle trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April
- Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
- City Circle trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.
Blue Mountains Line
Monday 12 to Thursday 15 April
- Nightly from 7.30pm until 11.30pm, buses replace trains from Lithgow to Penrith.
- From Tuesday to Friday, buses replace the 02:43 Mount Victoria to Central train from Mount Victoria to Penrith.
- Nightly from 9.10pm until 3am, buses replace trains from Penrith to Lithgow.
- Trains run to the normal timetable between Penrith and Central.
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Tuesday 13 April
- From 11.50pm until 3.30am, buses replace selected services from Hornsby to Gosford.
- Trains run from Central to Hornsby, and from Gosford to Wyong or Newcastle Interchange, some to a changed timetable.
Hunter Line
Wednesday 14 April
- Buses replace selected services between Maitland and Muswellbrook.
