Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
- Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking, cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.
- Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.
Metro
Monday 15 August
- From 10pm until 1.30am, buses replace metro between Tallawong and Chatswood.
Saturday 20 to Sunday 21 August
- From 11.15pm Saturday until 5.30am Sunday, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line if you are travelling to the City change at Epping, not Chatswood, for a T9 Northern Line train.
Sunday 21 August
- Buses replace metro between Tallawong and Chatswood.
T1 North Shore Line
Monday 15 to Thursday 18 August
- Nightly from 10pm until 2.20am, buses replace Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains between Hornsby and Berowra.
- T1 North Shore Line trains continue to run until the last timetabled service, then buses replace all trains between Hornsby and Berowra.
Saturday 20 to Sunday 21 August
- From 11.15pm Saturday until 5.30am Sunday, buses replace trains between Gordon and North Sydney or Wynyard.
- From stations Gordon to Chatswood, buses run to and from Wynyard. From stations Chatswood to Waverton, buses run to and from North Sydney.
T1 Western Line
Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August
- Richmond trains run between Richmond and Leppington. Change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey towards the City.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August
- Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Granville and Regents Park.
T3 Bankstown Line
Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August
- Buses replace trains between Cabramatta, Lidcombe and Sydenham.
- Trains run between Leppington, Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, stopping all stations to Lidcombe.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line,
Saturday 20 August
- From 6am until 9am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe.
- Buses run between Wolli Creek and Sydenham, and between Wolli Creek and Arncliffe.
T5 Cumberland Line
Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 August
- Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, trains may run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Granville, and between Granville and Leppington only. Some trains start and end at Olympic Park.
- Change trains at Granville to continue your journey.
Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August
- Trains may run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
- Extra trains run between Richmond and Leppington.
T7 Olympic Park Line
Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August
- Buses replace trains between Olympic Park and Lidcombe.
T8 Airport & South Line
Monday 15 to Thursday 18 August
- Nightly from 9.30pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Glenfield and Sydenham.
- Trains run between Macarthur and Glenfield, and until 10.40pm between Turrella and the City via the Airport, some to a changed timetable.
Saturday 20 August
- From 8.40am until 3pm, buses replace the all-stations trains between Wolli Creek and Revesby.
- Express trains continue to run but will not stop at stations between Padstow and Turrella.
Sunday 21 August
- From 9am until 3pm, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Revesby and Turrella.
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Monday 15 to Thursday 18 August
- Nightly from 10pm until 2.20am, buses replace trains between Gosford and Hornsby.
- Trains run between Newcastle Interchange and Gosford, and between Hornsby and Central, some to a changed timetable.
- On Wednesday, the 01:47 Central to Newcastle Interchange service will start from Strathfield at 02:07. From Central catch an earlier Night Service bus to Strathfield to meet this train.
Friday 19 August
- From 10.20am until 12.50pm, buses replace trains from Hornsby to Morisset.
- From 11am until 2pm, buses replace trains from Morisset to Hornsby.
South Coast Line
Sunday 21 August
- Sunday from 8am until 4pm, at Otford, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
