London Weekend Transport Changes

    Tube, DLR, Overground, Tfl Rail

    Central Line 

    Part Closure
    • Saturday 18 May, 0100 and 0400, there will be no service between Marble Arch and Ealing Broadway / West Ruislip. Replacement buses will operate.
    • Saturday 18 May, from 0400, and all day Sunday 19 May, there will be no service between White City and Ealing Broadway / West Ruislip. Replacement buses will operate.

    District Line  

    Part Closure
    • Sunday 19 May, there will be no service between Turnham Green and Richmond. Replacement buses will operate.

    Overground 

    Part Closure and Reduced Service
    • Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May, there will be no service between Shepherds Bush and Willesden Junction. Use local London Buses services.
    • Sunday 19 May, there will be no service between South Acton and Richmond. Replacement buses operate.
    • Sunday 19 May, until 12:30, no service between Euston and Kilburn High Road, use local London Buses or Underground services.
    • Sunday 19 May, until 1230, there will be no service between South Tottenham and Barking. Replacement buses operate between Walthamstow Central and Barking.

    TfL Rail

    Part Closure and Reduced Service
    • Sunday 19 May, from 08:00 a reduced service operates between Paddington and Hayes & Harlington. Trains will run every 30 minutes to stations between Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 4, but will not be stopping at Acton Main Line or West Ealing.
    • From 2330 Saturday 18 until 0800 Sunday 19 May, there will be no service between Paddington and Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3. The inter-terminal shuttle between Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3 and Terminal 4 will operate as normal
    • Sunday 19 May, a special service will operate between Liverpool Street and Shenfield. There will still be four trains an hour, but they will not stop at Maryland, Forest Gate or Manor Park, please use local London Buses connections.

     

    National Rail

    c2c

    No c2c service to / from London Liverpool Street on Sunday 19 May
    • c2c services to / from London Liverpool Street will be diverted to start / terminate at London Fenchurch Street, calling additionally at West Ham.
    • Customers may use their tickets on London Underground Jubilee Line services and Docklands Light Railway between West Ham and Stratford.
    Buses replace trains between Shoeburyness and Southend Central on Sunday 19 May
    • Replacement buses will operate between Shoeburyness and Southend Central. Train services between Southend Central – Ockenden – London Fenchurch Street will be re-timed.

    CrossCountry

    Amended service between Guildford and Reading / Aldershot / Woking on Sunday 19 May until 15:45
    • The 12:14 Guildford to Newcastle service will start from Reading. Customers should use rail replacement buses from Guildford to Wanborough and a Great Western Railway rail service from Wanborough to Reading.

    East Midlands Trains

    Amended East Midlands Trains services to / from London St Pancras International on Sunday 19 May
    • As a result, buses will replace trains between Corby and Kettering. All services running to / from London St Pancras will run to an amended timetable, with trains running earlier or later than usual, and with some trains making additional stops in order to cover gaps in the service. Journey times will be extended by a few minutes

    Gatwick Express

    No Gatwick Express services before 07:15 on Sunday 19 May
    • Customers should use alternative Southern services.

    Greater Anglia

    Buses replace trains between Shenfield and Southend Victoria / Southminster on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May

    Great Northern

    Buses replace trains to / from Finsbury Park until 08:45 on Sunday 19 May
    Before 08:45, buses will replace trains between:
    • Finsbury Park and Gordon Hill.
    • Finsbury Park and New Barnet / Welwyn Garden City.
    • Customers should use London Underground services between
    • Finsbury Park and London Kings Cross / Moorgate.

    Great Western Railway

    Amended 21:30 Taunton to London Paddington on Saturday 18 May
    • The 21:30 Taunton to London Paddington service will terminate at Reading. A bus will operate from Reading to London Paddington, expected to arrive at 01:11.
    Amended local service between London Paddington and Reading from 23:40 Saturday 18 until 08:00 Sunday 19 May
    From London Paddington:
    • 23:43 London Paddington to Reading will operate non-stop to Slough where it will arrive and depart earlier than normal. It will then call earlier than normal at all stations to Reading. There will be a bus at 23:43 from London Paddington to Ealing Broadway, Southall, Hayes & Harlington, West Drayton and Langley. This bus will continue to Reading.
    • 00:05 London Paddington to Reading will NOT run. A bus will run at 00:05 from London Paddington (fast) to Reading. There will also be a bus at 00:05 from London Paddington to Ealing Broadway, Southall, Hayes & Harlington, West Drayton and Langley. This bus will continue to set down only at Slough, Burnham, Taplow, Maidenhead, Twyford and Reading.
    • 00:30 London Paddington to Reading will NOT run. A bus will run at 00:30 from London Paddington (fast) to Reading 01.40. There will also be a bus at 00:30 from London Paddington (fast) to Slough, then Maidenhead and Twyford. This bus will continue to Reading. There will be a further bus at 00:30 from London Paddington to Ealing Broadway, Southall, Hayes & Harlington, West Drayton and Langley. This bus will continue to set down only at Slough, Maidenhead, Twyford and Reading.
    • 01:00 London Paddington to Reading will NOT run. A bus will run at 01:00 from London Paddington (fast) to Reading. There will also be a bus at 01:00 from London Paddington to Ealing Broadway, Southall, Hayes & Harlington, West Drayton, Slough, setting down only at Maidenhead and Twyford. This bus will continue to Reading.
    • 06:45 London Paddington to Reading will NOT run. A bus will run at 06:45 from London Paddington (fast) to Slough, then Burnham and Maidenhead. There will also be a bus at 06:45 from London Paddington, Ealing Broadway, Southall, Hayes & Harlington, West Drayton and Langley. This bus will continue to Slough for a later rail connection from Slough to Maidenhead and Reading.
      07:29 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway service will start from Slough at the normal time of 08.05.
    To London Paddington
    • 22:56 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington will terminate at Reading, connecting into the train below.
    • 23:01 Oxford to London Paddington will call additionally at Twyford, Maidenhead, Taplow and Burnham and will terminate at Slough. A bus will depart at 00:05 (Sun) from Slough (fast) to London Paddington. There will also be a bus at 00:06 (Sun) from Slough to West Drayton, Hayes & Harlington, Southall and Ealing Broadway. This bus will continue to London Paddington.
    • 23:49 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington will terminate at Reading 00:14. A bus will depart Reading at 00:30(fast) to London Paddington 01:40. There will also be a bus at 00:31 from Reading calling all stations to Southall, then setting down only at Ealing Broadway. This bus will continue to London Paddington.
    • 06:20 Reading to London Paddington will NOT run and will be replaced by a bus at 06:20 from Reading, Twyford, Maidenhead, Burnham and Slough to London Paddington 08:25.
      There will also be a bus at 06:50 from Slough to Langley, West Drayton, Hayes & Harlington, Southall and Ealing Broadway.
    • 07:32 Reading to London Paddington will depart Slough and beyond a few minutes later than normal.
    Buses replace trains between Barnham and Arundel / Angmering on Sunday 19 May
    • The 08:19 Romsey to Brighton will not run. A replacement bus will run from Romsey at 07:45 to Southampton Central for road / rail connections towards Brighton.
    • The 15:47 Brighton to Bristol Temple Meads service will start from Westbury.
    • The 16:35 Cardiff Central to Brighton service will terminate at Westbury.
    • The 17:40 Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour service will terminate at Westbury.
    • The 17:46 Brighton to Bristol Temple Meads and 21:46 Brighton to Portsmouth Harbour services will not run.
    • Customers for stations to / from Brighton should use Southern road / rail transport
    Amended service between Guildford and Reading / Aldershot / Woking on Sunday 19 May until 15:45
    • Until 14:15, trains between Reading and Gatwick Airport will be reduced to an hourly frequency and will operate in revised timings.
    • The following trains will terminate at Ash and be replaced by road transport from North Camp to Guildford:
      • 14.47 Reading to Redhill will terminate Ash
      • 14.43 Redhill to Reading will start from Ash.
    • Customers interchanging between rail and road should do so at NORTH CAMP (NOT at Ash).
    • After this time a near-normal timetable will operate except:
      • 15:15 Gatwick Airport to Reading will call additionally Betchworth, Dorking West and Shalford.
      • 15:43 and 16:43 Redhill to Reading will NOT run.
      • 16:15 Gatwick Airport to Reading will call additionally Gomshall, Chilworth, Shalford, Ash, Farnborough North, Sandhurst and Crowthorne.

    Heathrow Express

    Amended late night / early morning Heathrow Express service on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May
    Saturday:
    • The last Heathrow Express service from Heathrow Terminal 5 to London Paddington will run at 23:12. After this, the 23:27 and 23:42 Heathrow Terminal 5 to London Paddington services will terminate at Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3.
    Sunday:
    • A limited train service will run before 08:25, with trains running between Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 5 only. After 08:25, a normal service will resume.

    London Northwestern Railway

    Buses replace trains between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central / Northampton on Sunday 19 May until 07:20
    • Until 07:20 on Sunday morning, buses will replace trains between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central / Northampton.
    • The 07:20 London Euston to Northampton service will be retimed and depart London Euston at 07:24 and run 7 minutes later than normal until Milton Keynes Central.

    Southern

    Buses replace trains to / from East Grinstead / Uckfield on Sunday 19 May

    Replacement buses will run between:

    • Purley and East Grinstead.
    • Purley and Edenbridge Town.
    • Edenbridge Town and Uckfield.

    Customers to / from Sanderstead station should use Purley Oaks instead, which is within walking distance.

    Buses replace trains between Barnham and Arundel / Angmering on Sunday 19 May

    Buses replace trains between:

    • Barnham and Arundel
    • Barnham and Angmering
    Buses replace trains between Hastings and Ashford International on Sunday 19 May
    • Buses will replace trains between Hastings and Ashford International.
    • Trains between London Victoria / Brighton / Eastbourne and Ore will continue to operate during the engineering work.

    Southeastern

    Buses replace trains between Ramsgate and Dover Priory on Saturday 18 May
    • Buses will replace trains between Ramsgate and Dover Priory.
    • Services that run on circular routes to / from London St Pancras International will not run between Ramsgate and Dover Priory. Services that run between London St Pancras International and Dover Priory via Ashford International will be retimed
    Amended Woolwich Line services on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May
    • Trains between London Charing Cross and Dartford via Woolwich will run via the Bexleyheath Line all weekend, resulting in a reduced service via Woolwich on Saturday and no service on Sunday.
    • On Sunday, these trains will also start / terminate at London Cannon Street.
    Alternative travel options:
    • On Saturday, passengers should use alternative services between London Bridge & Dartford via Woolwich (Thameslink or London Cannon Street services)
    • On Sunday, buses will replace trains between Lewisham & Dartford via New Cross, Greenwich & Woolwich.
    Buses replace trains on routes through Gravesend and Strood on Sunday 19 May
    • Sidcup Line: Trains will run between London Cannon Street and Dartford. Buses will replace trains between Dartford and Gravesend. These trains are also running from Cannon Street instead of London Charing Cross
    • Medway Valley Line: Trains will run between Maidstone West and Tonbridge. Buses will run between Gravesend and Maidstone West.
    • High Speed via Gravesend: Buses will replace trains between Ebbsfleet International and Meopham, to provide connections to trains to Medway Towns, Faversham & Ramsgate. High Speed services between London St Pancras International and Faversham will not run between Ebbsfleet International and Faversham. An
    • Additional replacement bus service will run between Ebbsfleet International and Strood, but this will not connect into onward trains. Passengers will need to travel via Meopham for connecting train services.

    Additional replacement buses will also run between Dartford and Gillingham

    Buses replace trains on routes through Orpington on Sunday 19 May
    • Grove Park Line: Trains will run between London Cannon Street and Chislehurst only, and buses will replace trains between Chislehurst and Sevenoaks. (These trains are also running from London Cannon Street instead of London Charing Cross.)
    • Hastings Line: London Cannon Street to Hastings services will be diverted via an alternative route and will not stop at Orpington but will stop at Chislehurst instead to connect with replacement bus services. (These trains are also running from London Cannon Street instead of London Charing Cross.)
    • Paddock Wood Line: London Cannon Street to Dover Priory / Ramsgate services will be diverted via an alternative route between London Bridge and Sevenoaks and will be retimed. (These trains are also running from London Cannon Street instead of London Charing Cross.)
    • Bromley South Line: Buses replace trains between Bromley South and Orpington
    No trains between London Charing Cross / London Blackfriars and London Bridge on Sunday 19 May
    • There will be no train services at London Charing Cross.
    • Trains that usually run from London Charing Cross will run from London Cannon Street instead and may run at different times to normal

    South Western Railway

    Buses replace trains between Teddington and Shepperton on Sunday 19 May
    • Trains between London Waterloo and Kingston will be diverted to terminate and start from Staines
    Amended service between Guildford and Reading / Aldershot / Woking on Sunday 19 May until 15:45
    • Until 15:45, buses will replace trains between Woking and Guildford and between Guildford & Aldershot
    • Trains will be amended as follows:
      • 00 & 30 minutes past the hour London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour services call additionally at Surbiton and will be diverted via Cobham
      • 10 & 40 minutes past the hour London Waterloo to Guildford services terminate at Woking
      • 32 & 48 minutes past the hour Portsmouth to London Waterloo services call additionally at Surbiton and will be diverted via Cobham
      • 27 & 57 minutes past the hour Guildford to London Waterloo services start from Woking
    • Trains between Ascot & Guildford will run between Ascot and Aldershot

    Thameslink

    Amended Woolwich Line services on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May
    • Thameslink services between Kentish Town and Rainham will not run. Customers should use alternative Southeastern train / bus services.

    Buses replace trains between Luton and Bedford from 23:00 on Saturday 18 until 07:45 on Sunday 19 May
    Buses replace trains on routes through Orpington on Sunday 19 May
    • The 06:46 and 07:16 Orpington to London Victoria services will be replaced by buses between Orpington and Bromley South. Customers should use alternative services between Bromley South and London.
    No trains between London Charing Cross / London Blackfriars and London Bridge on Sunday 19 May
