Temple Consecration Ceremony

    Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple, one of Singapore’s oldest Hindu temples and a National Monument, turns 164 years in 2018.

    The auspicious Maha Samprokshanam of Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple is scheduled on Sunday, 22 April 2018 at 10:50am. We prepared a travel advisory for you.


     

    Road Closures

    The stretch of Serangoon Road (between Kitchener Road and Lavender Street) will be closed to vehicular traffic from 12 midnight to 7.00pm on 22 April 2018.

    The stretch of Race Course Road (behind Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple) and the following small roads will be closed – Perumal Road, Petain Road and Sturdee Road North.


     

    Bus Diversions 

    Due to road closures, all buses plying the stretch of Serangoon Road (in front of the Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple) will be diverted to stop at Tessensohn Road from 5 am to 7 pm.

    The bus stop in front of the Temple will be closed and re-sited to Tessensohn Road (behind the Temple).

    Affected bus routes include:

    • SBS: 21, 23, 64, 65, 125, 130, 139, 141 and 147
    • SMRT: 67 and 857
    • Tower Tranist: 66

    Affected bus stops:

    • Rangoon Rd – Opp Farrer Pk Stn (50259)
    • S’goon Rd – Sri Vadapathira K Tp (07221)
    • S’goon Rd – Sri Srinivasa Perumal Tp (07211)

     

    Parking
    The carpark within the grounds of Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple will be closed.

    MRT
    MRT Exit G (just next to the Temple entrance) cannot be used on 22 April 2018.

    Use either Exit H (in front of City Square Mall) or Exit B (on Race Course Road, behind Temple) to come to the Temple.
