Notting Hill Carnival (Sun 30 – Mon 31 Aug)
- Recommended Route: Take Tube or Elizabeth line services to Paddington station for a signed walking route.
- Station Operations: Stations inside the event zone will be extremely busy; expectations include one-way systems, no-entry restrictions, or queuing.
- Accessibility: For step-free travel home, use local bus routes to Paddington station (servicing the Elizabeth, Bakerloo, Hammersmith & City, and Circle lines).
- Roads & Buses: Local roads will be closed, and multiple bus routes will run diverted or terminate short.
London Underground & DLR Closures
- Northern Line:
- Fri 28 – Sat 29 Aug: No Night Tube service between Camden Town and High Barnet. Use local night buses.
- Sat 29 – Mon 31 Aug: No service between Archway and High Barnet/Mill Hill East (including Saturday Night Tube). Local and replacement bus routes will operate.
- Piccadilly Line:
- Thu 27 Aug: No service between Cockfosters and Uxbridge (upgrade work). Use alternative Tube lines or replacement buses. For Heathrow travel, use the Elizabeth line.
- DLR:
- Sun 30 – Mon 31 Aug: No service between Tower Gateway and Shadwell. Use the Tube, Windrush line, or local bus routes.
London Overground Closures
- Windrush Line:
- Sat 29 – Mon 31 Aug: No service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction. Rail replacement buses will run between Canada Water and Clapham Junction.
- Weaver Line:
- Mon 31 Aug – Thu 3 Sep: No service between Hackney Downs and Enfield Town/Cheshunt after 22:45 each night. Use Tube or local/replacement buses.
London Trams Closures
- Reeves Corner to East Croydon: No service until Sun 30 Aug.
- Arena to Elmers End:
- Thu 27 & Fri 28 Aug: No service before 07:00 and after 19:30 each day.
- Sat 29 & Sun 30 Aug: No service before 08:00 and after 18:45 on Saturday; no service all day Sunday.
Bus Route Adjustments & Strike Notices
- Tower Bridge Closures (Sun 30 Aug, 05:30–09:00): Routes 42 and 78 will divert via London Bridge. Route 343 will terminate short at Queen Elizabeth Street (north) and Tooley Street (south).
