This feature allows you to ride transit with peace of mind as we guide you every step of your journey, and even alert you when your stop is coming up. That means you can kick back, relax and enjoy your journey, whether it’s at home or away.
How to use Change your Location
Tap on the “More” menu on the blue bar on your app and under “Settings”, choose “Metro Area” to view other locations we cover.
How to use Live Directions
Open the app.The screen shows your location, nearby stations and Real Time arrivals (if available for your city). Search for your destination or a transit line in the top bar.
Type in your destination and start to Plan a Trip. There are options to change the location and personalize your journey by tapping “Now”, “Best route” and “Including: All transit types”.
Once you’ve chosen your preferences, tap “Search routes” to show the best available routes.
Choose your preferred route and adjust the time by tapping “Earlier” or “Later” or swiping left to see the other route options.
When you are ready, hit the Play button to start your Live Directions, which give you a step by step guide (similar to GPS for cars).

With notifications on, Moovit will alert you when your stop is coming up, so you can immerse yourself into a good book, play on your phone or even take a nap.
