Industrial action to affect many National Rail services today, Wednesday 8 May until Saturday 11 May
Strike action has been announced by the ASLEF Union and RMT Union for the following train operators on the following days:
ASLEF Union:
Wednesday 8 May – Avanti West Coast, Chiltern Railways, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, Great Western Railway, Heathrow Express, London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway
Thursday 9 May – LNER, Northern and TransPennine Express
In addition, the above train operators will have an overtime ban from Wednesday 8 May to Saturday 11 May which may alter the timetable of trains that will be running.
Other industrial action:
RMT Union members announced that strike action will take place affecting ScotRail services on some routes on some weekends:
Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May
Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June
