Industrial action to affect National Rail services today, and on various dates in July

    Monday 3 July to Saturday 8 July – ASLEF action short of a strike

    Routes affected: Various National Rail Routes

    Description:

    The RMT Union have announced three days of strike action to affect several train operating companies during July, on Thursday 20 July, Saturday 22 July and Saturday 29 July.

    In addition, the ASLEF union, have announced action short of a strike across multiple train operators from Monday 3 July to Saturday 8 July. This action involves ASLEF members withdrawing from working overtime during the six day period.

    Monday 3 July to Saturday 8 July – ASLEF action short of a strike

    The following train operating companies will be affected and have indicated that they do not expect to be able to run their full timetable. Please check before you travel:

    • Chiltern Railways

    • Gatwick Express

    • Greater Anglia

    • Great Western Railway

    • Great Northern

    • Southern

    • South Western Railway and Island Line

    • Thameslink

    • TransPennine Express

    The following train operating companies may also be affected. They are currently expecting to be able to run their full timetable although they might experience short notice cancellations. Please check before you travel:

    • Avanti West Coast

    • CrossCountry

    • East Midlands Railway

    • LNER

    • London Northwestern Railway

    • Northern

    • Southeastern

    • West Midlands Railway

    The following train companies are not affected and are expected to run as normal:

    c2c, Caledonian Sleeper, Grand Central, Elizabeth line, Heathrow Express, Hull Trains, London Overground, Merseyrail, ScotRail, Transport for Wales.
