Travellers using public transport in London should prepare for planned maintenance, line closures, and event-related delays starting Thursday, 10 September.
London Underground Disruptions
- Central Line: On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, trains will skip Marble Arch (including Friday and Saturday Night Tube). Passengers should use Bond Street or bus route 94.
- Circle Line: No service between Edgware Road and Aldgate via Victoria on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September due to track work. Use local bus routes or alternative Tube lines.
- District Line: Closed between Edgware Road/Tower Hill and Ealing Broadway, Kensington (Olympia), Richmond, and Wimbledon on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September. Earl’s Court passengers attending Chelsea’s match at Stamford Bridge should travel via the Piccadilly line or Mildmay line.
- Piccadilly Line: Trains will bypass Earl’s Court between 03:15 and 05:45 during Friday Night Tube (11–12 September).
London Overground Disruptions
- Mildmay Line: No service between Willesden Junction and Richmond on Sunday 13 September. Late-night disruptions include no westbound service from Stratford to Camden Road after 23:45 (Mon 14–Thu 17 Sep) and no eastbound service from Willesden Junction to Stratford after 23:00 (Wed 16–Thu 17 Sep).
- Suffragette Line: Suspended entirely on Sunday 13 September due to rail maintenance.
- Windrush Line: Late-night closure between Sydenham and West Croydon after 22:15 on Thursday 10 September. On Sunday 13 September, no service between Wandsworth Road and Clapham Junction until 09:00. Evening closures apply between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace/West Croydon after 23:30 from Monday 14 to Thursday 17 September.
Road Closures & Bus Disruptions
- London-to-Brighton Cycle Event: Extensive south London road closures and bus diversions on Sunday 13 September (08:00–16:00).
- Streatham Hill / Brixton Hill: Ongoing lane restrictions between Christchurch Road and Holmewood Road through late 2026, with temporary signals in place from Monday 28 September.
