Your Weekly Transit Update 🚄 🚌

Dear riders,

We have collected several public transit changes that are worth getting to know about this week.

Jerusalem Light Rail – Back to full-service next week 

Starting Tuesday, August 30, the Light Rail will return to full service, from the Heil Ha’Avir to Mount Herzl station.


 🚄 Tel Aviv Ha’Shalom station closed during the weekend of August 26-27

Due to works, Tel Aviv Ha’Shalom station will be temporarily closed on Friday, August 26th and Saturday evening August 27th, and trains will not stop at the station during these days. 

Service will return to normal on Sunday, August 28.


🚄 Rail service changes in Haifa and the North August 26-27

On Friday, August 26th, and Saturday evening, August 27th, infrastructure works will be carried out in the area of ​​the Hutsot Hamifratz. Due to the works, trains on the following lines will not operate these days:

Karmiel – Haifa Hof Ha’Kakarmel

Nahariya – Haifa Hof Ha’Kakarmel

During this time the following stations will be closed: Nahariya, Acre, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Haim, Hutsot Hamifrat, Karmiel, and Achihud. 

On these dates, free shuttles will be operated as follows:

Friday, August 26

From Merkazit Hamifratz, through Ahihud and Kiryat Motzkin Stations to Karmiel Station: from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every hour: xx:30

From Karmiel, through Achihud and Kiryat Motzkin stations to the Merkazit Hamifratz: from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every hour: xx:30

FromMerkazit Hamifratz, through Kiryat Motzkin and Acre stations to Nahariya station: from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. every hour: xx:00

From Nahariya, through Kiryat Motzkin and Acre stations to the Merkazit Hamifratz: from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every hour: xx:00

 

Saturday evening, August 27

From Merkazit Hamifratz, through Ahihud and Kiryat Motzkin to Karmiel Station: from 21:30 to 23:30 every hour: xx:30

From Karmiel station, through Ahihud and Kiryat Motzkin to the Merkazit Hamifratz: from 21:30 to 23:30 every hour: xx:30

From Merkazit Hamifratz, through Kiryat Motzkin and Acre to Nahariya station: from 22:00 to 24:00 every hour: xx:00

Ofakim – Public Transit Changes

Starting Sunday, August 28, several changes will be made to the public transportation network in the city.

Line 330 – Fast line between Ofakim and Be’er Sheva. The route will be extended to Hefetz Haim, HaHida, Moshe Sharet, Beit Vagan, and Kibbutz Galioit streets in Ofakim. The stations on the Hatayasim, David HaMelech, Kiryat Sefer, and HaNeviim streets will be canceled.

Line 332 – The line will connect Ofakim to Soroka Hospital, Ben Gurion University, and Big Beer Sheva. The route will be extended to the Park neighborhood in Ofakim. In addition, the line’s frequency will be increased.

Line 333 – In addition to the stop in the Shapira neighborhood in Ofakim, the route will be extended to Ramat Shaked in Rehovot – including the Horesh, Hachita, Duvdevan, Tseelon, Bait Vagan. In addition, the line frequency will be increased.


Moovit is updated with the latest changes that are being published by the bus operators and the Ministry of Transportation.
