Public Transit Updates โ€“ October 28 ๐Ÿš

Dear riders,

We have collected several public transit changes that are worth getting to know about including changes in Rail service and the Jerusalem Marathon which will take place on Friday.

๐Ÿ•ฐย Daylight Saving Time Changesย 

In the night between Saturday and Sunday, daylight saving time will end and the clock should be turned at 02:00 backward to 01:00.ย ย 

The clock change is expected to happen automatically in the device settings, and it is recommended to verify this in order to view the updated schedules.


๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธย Jerusalem Marathon Friday, October 29

๐Ÿš‹ The Light Rail will operate on a reduced formatย ย 

The Light Rail will operate on a reduced format between 06:00 – 12:00 (approximately). During these hours, service will run from the Air Force Station to Giva’t Ha’tahmoshet and from the Central Station to Mount Herzl Station. There will be no service between Central Station and Giva’t Ha’tahmoshet.

Service will return to normal at the end of the event.

๐Ÿš Bus lines service changes

During the marathon hours, until the end of the event, service changes will take place in the following Egged lines, while some line will change their route and some will be canceled.

Route changes will apply in these lines: 1, 3, 3a, 4a, 5, 6, 7, 9 (circular), 10, 12, 15, 18, 25, 31, 32, 35, 39, 39a, 42a, 45, 50, 53, 55, 59, 65, 66, 66 A., 68, 69, 71 and 72 (from Strauss to Ramot), 74, 75, 77 and 77 A. (from Givat Shapira to Malcha), 78, 78 A., 88, 163.

Lines that will not operate during the event: 9 (from Malcha to Binyanei Ha’uma), 13, 14, 17, 19, 22, 30 A. (in the direction of Mount Scopus), 34, 34 A., 48, 49 (to Talpiot), 71 (Gilo to Ramot), 72 (Gilo to Ramot), 77 and 77a (from Malcha to Givat Shapira).


๐Ÿš† Rail service changes in the Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Herzliya line, October 27 – November 6

Due to electrification work at the Sharon stations, starting Wednesday, October 27, until Saturday evening, November 6, (including Saturday evening) between 21:00 to 24:00 (approximately), there will be service changes in the Herzliya – Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon line.

  • Trains on this line will begin and end their journey at the Tel Aviv Haganah station and will not stop at Tel Aviv Hashalom, Tel Aviv Savidor Center, Tel Aviv University, and Herzliya stations.
  • During the works, free shuttles will operate between Herzliya, Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv Savidor Center, and Tel Aviv Haganah stations, in both directions, as follows:

October 27 – November 4ย  (Weekdays)

From Tel Aviv Haganah to Herzliya station, (via Tel Aviv Savidor Central and Tel Aviv University stations) at 21:00, 22:00, 23:00, 23:30

From Herzliya station to Tel Aviv Hagana station, (via Tel Aviv University and Tel Aviv Savidor Central stations) at 21:00, 22:00, 23:00, 23:30ย 

October 30 – Saturday evening
ย 

From Tel Aviv Haganah to Herzliya station, (via Tel Aviv Savidor Central and Tel Aviv University stations) at 21:00, 22:00, 23:00, 23:30ย 

From Herzliya to Tel Aviv Haganah station, (via Tel Aviv University and Tel Aviv Savidor Center stations) at 21:00, 22:00, 23:00, 23:30

๐Ÿ“ Service on this line will return to normal on Sunday, November 7thย 


We remind you, that in accordance with the Ministries of Health and Transportation guidelines, it is mandatory to wear a face mask on every ride and not use any public transportation line if having illness symptoms.
