Dear riders,
We have collected several public transit changes that are worth getting to know about this week.
Following rail works at the Hagana Tel Aviv station, these service changes will be applied on Friday and Saturday, December 9-10:
- Trains on the Modi’in – Tel Aviv Savidor Center line will not be operated
- On the night between Thursday and Friday – the night trains between Tel Aviv Savidor Center and Ben Gurion Airport will not be operated
- On the night between Saturday and Sunday – trains between Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Tel Aviv – Tel Aviv Savidor Center  will run between Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon and Tel Aviv stations and will not stop at Hagana, Tel Aviv HaShalom, and Tel Aviv Savidor Center stations
- Trains on the Beer Sheva – Tel Aviv Savidor Center line – will operate between Beer Sheva and Lod stations only and will not stop at the Hagana, Tel Aviv HaShalom, and Tel Aviv Central stations
- Trains on the Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Herzliya line will be operated in a split format: between Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon and Ben Gurion Airport stations in the south and between Herzliya and Hagana stations in the north. The trains will not operate between Ben Gurion Airport and Hagana stations
- Trains on the Rehovot – Netanya line will be operated in a split format: between Rehovot and Lod stations in the south and between Netanya and Hagana stations in the north. The trains will not operate between Lod – Kfar Chabad – Tel Aviv stationsÂ
- Trains on the Beit Shemesh – Netanya line will be operated in a split format: between Beit Shemesh and Lod stations in the south and between Netanya and Tel Aviv stations in the north. Trains will not operate between Lod – Gani Aviv – Tel Hagana stations
Free shuttles will operate between Lod-Tel Aviv Savidor Central stations and between Tel Aviv Savidor Central stations. The shuttles timetables can be found in the ‘Lines’ tab under ‘Shuttles’.
Between December 9-14 the Rakvalit will be closed due to maintenance work.Â
Starting next week, IDF soldiers allowed traveling without uniform
Starting December 15, 2022, soldiers may travel for free on public transportation even without a uniform.
Up until now, soldiers were able to ride free without uniforms only on Friday and Saturday evenings. From now, soldiers will be able to travel free of charge during all days of the week, on all means of public transportation: Buses, Israel Railways, the Light Rail, and the Rakvalit.Â
