Dear riders,
We have collected several transit changes that are worth getting to know about this week.
Starting Thursday, March 31, Modi’in Center – Jerusalem Itzhak Navon line will launch and will connect the cities within less than half an hour ride.
- Trains on the line will operate throughout all operating hours, including Fridays and Saturdays, at this stage with a frequency of one train per hour, in each direction. Travel time from Modi’in Center to Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon station will be about 29 minutes, and from Pa’atei Modi’in to Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon station will be about 22 minutes.
- Starting Friday, April 1, the Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Tel Aviv – Herzliya line will also operate on Fridays, with a frequency of one train every hour, in each direction.
From Wednesday, March 30, at 22:00 until Saturday evening, April 2 at 22:00, there will be temporary service changes in rail service at Netivot and Ofakim stations and Sderot will be temporarily closed to service.
On Wednesday, starting at 22:00 (approximately) and on Thursday at all hours:
- Trains on the Beer Sheva – Ofakim – Netivot – Sderot – Ashkelon line will operate only between Beer Sheva and Netivot stations, and will not operate at Sderot and Ashkelon stations
- Trains on the Beer Sheva – Ashkelon – Binyamina/Netanya line will only operate between Ashkelon, Netanya, and Binyamina stations, and will not operate at Ofakim, Netivot, Sderot stations
On Friday, during all hours of service, and on Saturday evening, until 22:00:
- Trains on the Beer Sheva – Ofakim – Netivot-Sderot – Ashkelon line will only operate between Beer Sheva and Netivot stations, and will not operate at Sderot and Ashkelon stations
- Trains on the Beer Sheva – Herzliya line – will operate between Ashkelon and Herzliya stations only
Thursday, March 31:
From Netivot station via Sderot to Ashkelon station: from 5:25 to 22:25 at every xx: 25 (the last shuttle at 22:25, end at Tel Aviv).
From Ashkelon station, via Sderot to Netivot station: from 5:30 to 23:30 every xx: 30 (the last shuttle at 23:30, will reach Be’er Sheva).
Friday, April 1:
From Netivot station via Sderot to Ashkelon station: from 06:25 to 13:25 at every xx: 25 (the last shuttle at 13:25, will reach Tel Aviv).
From Ashkelon station, via Sderot station to Netivot station from 06:20 to 13:20 every xx: 25 (the last shuttle at 13:20, will reach Be’er Sheva).
Starting Thursday, March 31, the Tel Aviv Municipality will operate a free shuttle for visitors of the Carmel Market from the Etzel parking lots and Ha’Tahana complex. The shuttle will operate on Thursdays and Fridays from morning to afternoon with a frequency of every 10 minutes on the following days and hours:
- Thursdays – 18: 00-9: 00
- Fridays – 16: 00-9: 00
On Friday, April 1, the Rishon LeZion Race will take place. From 06:00 to 10:00 (estimated time) segments of the streets will be closed: Rene Kassen, Mota Gur (including Rabin Square), Levi Eshkol, Gedoli Yisrael, Haim Barlev, Yitzhak Rabin Boulevard, Abba Even Boulevard (including the Yes Planet complex) and Joseph Tommy Lapid. It is recommended to plan your trip accordingly.
Moovit is updated with the latest changes that are being published by the bus operators and the Ministry of Transportation.
We remind you, that in accordance with the Ministries of Health and Transportation guidelines, it is mandatory to wear a face mask on every ride and not use any public transportation line if having illness symptoms.
