VTA will be repairing or replacing worn elements of the light rail overhead catenary system (OCS) during a planned major rehabilitation of the system to maintain a safe and efficient operating service. As a result, segments of the light rail lines will be closed for construction periodically which may result in transit impacts to popular events and attractions this summer.
July 6 – July 18 Bus Bridge
VTA will be replacing overhead wires on Tasman between Renaissance and Baypointe on First Street between River Oaks and Tasman.
Green Line – Trains will operate between Winchester and Bonaventura. The bus bridge will operate between Bonaventura and Baypointe stations.
Blue Line – Trains will operate between Santa Teresa and Bonaventura. The bus bridge will operate between Bonventura and Baypointe stations.
Orange Line – Trains will operate between Mountain View and Great America and between Alum Rock and Alder. The bus bridge will operate between Old Ironsides and Alder stations.
