This notice outlines upcoming service changes affecting Route 74 due to various events and construction. Please be aware of these disruptions and plan your trips accordingly.
Mount Vernon 20th Anniversary Street Festival:
- Dates: Saturday, May 11th
- Time: 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Impact: Temporary detour due to street closure.
- Details:
- K Street NW between 6th Street and 7th Street will be closed.
- Northbound buses will detour on 7th St NW at K St, resuming their regular route on 6th St NW at Massachusetts Ave.
- Southbound buses will detour on V St SW at First St, resuming their regular route on 2nd St SW at P St.
- Recommendation: Allow extra travel time and consider alternative routes if possible to avoid the area.
Permanent Bus Stop Relocation:
- Effective Date: Monday, May 13th
- Route: Route 74 (Westbound towards Greenbelt Station)

- The existing bus stop located on Greenbelt Rd at Vandenberg Ct (stop ID #3002232) will be permanently closed.
- A new bus stop will be established on Greenbelt Rd at Icesat Rd (stop ID #3004434).

- Time: 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Impact: Temporary detour due to anticipated pedestrian and traffic congestion around Audi Field.

- Route 74 will operate between the Convention Center and a temporary bus stop located on M St SW at 4th Street (stop ID #1003690).
