Weekend Changes

    Here are the changes this weekend:

    1) Post-COVID19 Circuit Breaker Period – Changes to public transport services

    We had entered Post-Covid19 Circuit Breaker Period since 2nd June 2020. As a result, 18 routes from Franchised Bus Service, Express Bus Services, Night Buses and Chinatown Direct Bus Service that are catered for recreational demand will continue to be suspended.     2) Early Closure & Late Opening of Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL)

    To facilitate additional engineering hours to prepare the upcoming TEL Stage 2 which is scheduled to open later in the year, the Thomson-East Coast Line will end its service earlier at around 9.00 pm every day until 30 April 2021 to facilitate additional hours to test the systems in preparation of the opening of TEL Stage 2.

    Apart from that, Thomson-East Coast Line will now start operating later at around 6.30 am every Saturday and Sunday until 30 April 2021.

    3) Part Suspended East West Line For Maintenance Work

    On 28 March 2021 (Sunday), there will be no service between Boon Lay and Tuas Link in order to facilitate the replacement of 22kV cables along the Tuas West Extension. Train service will resume normal operation on Monday.

    4) Shuttle 3 | Boon Lay – Tuas Link: Replacement Shuttle During Planned Disruption.

    During planned disruption of the East West Line, replacement service (Shuttle 3) will be activated for passengers who wish to travel to affected stations. The said replacement service will run at a frequency of  5-15 minutes.

    5) Movement Control Order & State of Emergency in Malaysia

    The land border between Malaysia and Singapore on the Johor Causeway had officially reopened despite the reinstation of Movement Control Order & declaration for the state of emergency. However, travellers are required to obtain My Travel Pass Reciprocal Green Lane* / Periodic Commuting Arrangement before proceeding their journey toward Malaysia. More information on My Travel Pass and its requirements can be obtained via the Malaysian Immigration Department’s microsite.

    State Government of Johor, via entity under purview of the state, Pengangkutan Awam Johor (PAJ) had arranged a shuttle service to pick up travellers entering Malaysia or Singapore on the Johor Causeway.

    Service Details: Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (CIQ), Johor Bahru – Woodlands CIQ, Singapore
    Operating Hour: 7.30 am – 12.30pm, 2.30pm – 6.30pm (11 trips daily)

    *RGL arrangement has been temporarily suspended from 1st February 2021 for a period of 3 months.
