Weekend Service Changes

TTC

Overview:

From 11:00 PM on May 25, 2024, to 4:00 AM on June 7, 2024, significant changes will be implemented to the 506/306 Carlton streetcar and replacement bus services. These adjustments are necessary to accommodate essential maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.

Service Changes:

Phase 1: 11:00 PM, May 25 to 4:00 AM, May 27, 2024

• Streetcar Operations:
  • 506/306 Carlton streetcars will turn back west via the following route:
    • South on Parliament Street
    • East on Gerrard Street
    • South on Broadview Avenue
    • West on Dundas Street
    • North on Parliament Street
    • West on Carlton Street, resuming the regular route
• Replacement Bus Operations:
  • 506/306 Carlton replacement buses will operate between Parliament Street and Main Street Station.
• Transfer Points:
  • Westbound Streetcars: Board on Carlton Street (north side), west of Parliament Street.
  • Eastbound Buses: Board on Gerrard Street (south side), west of Broadview Avenue.

Phase 2: 4:00 AM, May 27 to 4:00 AM, June 7, 2024

• Replacement Bus Operations:
  • Eastbound Route:
    • East on Gerrard Street
    • South on Coxwell Avenue
    • East on Dundas Street
    • East on Kingston Road
    • North on Woodbine Avenue
    • East on Gerrard Street
    • North on Main Street, terminating at Main Street Station
  • Westbound Route:
    • South on Main Street
    • West on Gerrard Street
    • South on Coxwell Avenue
    • West on Gerrard Street
    • North on Parliament Street
    • West on Carlton Street
    • South on Sherbourne Street
    • East on Gerrard Street

Important Notes:

• Transfer Points:
  • Westbound Streetcars: Board on Carlton Street (north side), west of Parliament Street.
  • Eastbound Buses: Board on Gerrard Street (south side), west of Broadview Avenue.
• Service Adjustments:
  • Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra travel time.
  • Signage and staff will be available at key points to assist with transfers and provide information.

GO Transit

Dates:

• Saturday, May 25, 2024
• Sunday, May 26, 2024

Due to essential construction work along the Barrie Line corridor, there will be no GO train service on the Barrie Line on the aforementioned dates. This construction is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance and improve the reliability and safety of your transit experience.

Service Adjustments:

Replacement Bus Service:

• GO buses will replace train services between Barrie Bus Terminal and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
• Please note that Downsview Park GO and Union Station Bus Terminal will not be served by any bus replacements during this period. Passengers are advised to use TTC Line 1 for travel to and from these stations.

Alternative Travel Options:

• For those traveling to Union Station from Downsview Park GO, please use the TTC Line 1 subway service.

Additional Schedule Adjustments:

• Tuesday, May 28, 2024

On these dates, some train departure times will be adjusted to leave either earlier or later than their usual schedule. These adjustments are necessary to accommodate the ongoing construction work and to ensure minimal disruption to your commute.
