    Weekend Updates

    Do take note of this weekend’s planned disruption so you can know where to avoid while heading out!

    Here are the changes:

    1) Post-COVID19 Circuit Breaker Period – Changes to public transport services

    We had entered Post-Covid19 Circuit Break Period since 2nd June. As a result, 18 routes from Franchised Bus Service, Express Bus Services, Night Buses and Chinatown Direct Bus Service that are catered for recreational demand will continue to be suspended.     2) Part Suspension of Punggol LRT 

    On Sunday, 23 August 2020, both Punggol West and Punggol East LRT will operates a single direction to facilitate extended engineering work on the LRT Track. Train services on the following service will only commence after the following day.

    • Punggol West – Outer Loop via PW7 Soo Teck
    • Punggol East – Inner Loop via PE1 Cove

    3) Early Closure & Late Opening of Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL)

    To facilitate additional engineering hours to prepare the upcoming TEL Stage 2 which is scheduled to open later in the year, the Thomson-East Coast Line will be ending its service earlier at 9.00 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays & starting its service later at 6.30 am on Saturdays and Sundays from 26 July 2020

    Apart from that, Thomson-East Coast Line will now end it’s service earlier at around 9.00pm everyday until 30th August 2020 to facilitate additional hours to test the systems in preparation of the opening of TEL Stage 2

    5)Recovery Movement Restriction Order in Malaysia

    The land border between Malaysia and Singapore on the Johor Causeway had officially reopened this week. However, travelers are required to obtain My Travel Pass Reciprocal Green Lane / Periodic Commuting Arrangement before proceeding their journey toward Malaysia. More information on My Travel Pass and it’s requirements can be obtained via the Malaysian Immigration Department’s microsite

    State Government of Johor, via its entity Pengangkutan Awam Johor (PAJ) had arranged a shuttle service to pick up travelers entering Malaysia or Singapore on the Johor Causeway.

    Service Details: Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (CIQ), Johor Bahru – Woodlands CIQ, Singapore
    Operating Hour: 7.30 am – 12.30pm, 2.30pm – 6.30pm (11 trips daily)
    Fare: Free of charge.
