Weekly Travel Alert
Don’t forget to check before you travel.
Due to planned industrial action, no V/Line trains will run from first service to last service on the following dates and lines:
- Wednesday 11 December: Bendigo, Swan Hill and Echuca lines
- Thursday 12 December: Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough lines
- Tuesday 17 December: Traralgon and Bairnsdale lines
- Wednesday 18 December: Seymour, Shepparton and Albury lines
- Thursday 19 December: Geelong and Warrnambool lines
Coaches will replace trains. Please allow up to an extra 60 minutes for your journey.
🚇Metro Trains
Alamein, Belgrave and Lilydale lines
- Buses replace trains between Parliament and Camberwell stations from 8.20pm to last train each night, Monday 9 December to Thursday 12 December, due to maintenance works.
- Buses replace trains between Burnley and Box Hill stations from 8.25pm Friday 20 December to last train Sunday 22 December, while project works take place.
- Alamein, Belgrave, Glen Waverley and Lilydale lines
- Alamein, Belgrave, Glen Waverley and Lilydale line trains will run direct to and from Flinders Street Station, not via the City Loop, on Saturday 14 December 2019, due to works.
Belgrave and Lilydale lines
- Buses replace trains between Blackburn and Belgrave/Lilydale stations from 8.10pm on Saturday 14 December to 6am Sunday 15 December and from 8.10pm to last train on Sunday 15 December 2019, due to maintenance works.
Craigieburn Line
- Buses will replace trains between Essendon and Craigieburn stations from 8.30pm on Friday 13 December to last train Sunday 15 December, due to maintenance works.
- Cranbourne, Frankston and Pakenham lines
- Buses replace trains between Parliament and Caulfield stations from 8.15pm to the last train each night, Monday 16 December and Tuesday 17 December, due to maintenance works.
- Buses replace trains between South Yarra and Caulfield stations from 8.15pm to the last train each night on Wednesday 18 December and Thursday 19 December.
Glen Waverley Line
- Buses replace trains between Richmond and Glen Waverley stations from 8.20pm to last train each night from Monday 9 December to Thursday 12 December, due to maintenance works.
Hurstbridge and Mernda lines
- Trains on the Hurstbridge and Mernda lines will run direct to and from Flinders Street Station, not via the City Loop from 9pm to last train each night on Monday 9 December and Thursday 12 December, due to works.
- Buses will replace train services between Parliament and Clifton Hill stations from 8.20pm to last train on Sunday 22 December and Monday 23 December, due to maintenance works.
Mernda Line
- Buses replace trains between Thornbury and Mernda stations from first train Wednesday 4 December to last train Thursday 12 December, while works take place.
- Buses replace trains between Thornbury and South Morang from first train Friday 13 December to 10pm Friday 13 December, while works take place.
- Buses replace trains between Thornbury and Epping stations from 10pm Friday 13 December to last train Sunday 15 December, while works take place.
Pakenham Line
- Buses replace trains between Dandenong and Pakenham stations, 8pm to last train each night from Sunday 8 December to Sunday 15 December, while project works take place.
- Buses replace trains between Dandenong and Pakenham stations, 8.10pm to last train each night from Friday 20 December to Monday 23 December, due to project works.
Sandringham Line
- Buses replace trains between Parliament and Elsternwick stations from 8pm to the last train each night from Monday 16 December to Tuesday 17 December 2019, due to maintenance works.
Sunbury and Werribee lines
- Trains on the Sunbury and Werribee lines will run direct to and from Flinders Street Station, not via the City Loop, on Saturday 14 December 2019.
Upfield Line
- Buses replace trains between North Melbourne and Upfield stations from 8pm to last train each night from Monday 9 December to Wednesday 11 December 2019, due to maintenance works.
- Buses replace trains between North Melbourne and Upfield stations from 8.20pm to last train each night on Sunday 22 December and Monday 23 December, due to maintenance works.
Werribee and Williamstown lines
- Buses replace trains between North Melbourne and Werribee/Williamstown from 7.20pm to last train each night from Sunday 15 December to Wednesday 18 December, due to maintenance works.
🚊V/Line
Albury and Seymour lines
- Select Seymour trains will be replaced by road coaches from the evening of Friday 13 December, and all Seymour and Shepparton trains will be replaced by coaches from first service Saturday 14 December to last service Sunday 15 December, due to track works.
