What’s Happening This Week
Do take note of this weekend’s planned changes so you can know where to avoid it while heading out!
1) Early Closure & Late Opening on the Thomson-East Coast Line MRT
To allow integration systems testing for the upcoming Stage 4 of the Thomson-East Coast Line, the service of Thomson-East Coast Line between Woodlands North and Gardens By The Bay will have reduced operation hour on the following days:
- Friday, 19 January 2024: Train service will end earlier at around 11.30pm
- Saturday, 20 January 2024: Train service will start later at around 8.00am and ends earlier at around 11.30pm
- Sunday, 21 January 2024: Train service will start later at around 8.00am
2) Bus Service Diversion for Light to Night 2024
On Friday, 19 January 2024, and Saturday, 20 January 2024 4.00pm to 1.00am next day, service 195 & 961 will be diverted from the following stops for Light to Night 2024
- Beach Rd – Aft Raffles Hotel (01611)
- Parliament Pl – Supreme Ct (02181)
3) Single Platform Service on Circle Line Between Telok Blangah & HarbourFront
From Saturday, 20 January 2024 to Friday, 24 May 2024, the Circle Line Services will be running with a single platform between Telok Blangah and HarbourFront to allow for track works connecting HarbourFront Station to Circle Line Stage 6 Stations such as Keppel, Cantonment, and Prince Edward Road.
The Circle Line Service will be running with the following arrangements
- Trains from Dhoby Ghaut turnaround at Labrador Park
- Shuttle Train Service operated between Labrador Park and HarbourFront at a frequency of 10 minutes
- During peak hours, alternate trains from Dhoby Ghaut / Marina Bay turnaround at Kent Ridge
To help ease the potential crowd and reduce travel time for passengers on Circle Line, Peak-hour-only Express Shuttle Service E31 will be introduced between Kent Ridge and HarbourFront. Calling at Kent Ridge, Labrador Park (Alexandra Pt, Alexandra Retail Ctr), Telok Blangah, and HarbourFront. The service will run on Weekdays, 6am to 10am, and 5pm to 9pm, excluding public holidays.

4) Relocation of Causeway Link Bus Service at Jurong East
From Monday, 22 January 2024, the stopping/pick up point for the Causeway Link Cross Border service CW3, CW4, and CS4s at Jurong East will be relocated from its pick up point on Venture Avenue to the new location at Berth B5, Jurong Town Hall Bus Interchange.
