Leave the driving to the Professionals! Here is how WMATA is ready to help you this New Year’s Eve and don’t forget to plan your trip with Moovit!
🎫WMATA is Free this New Year’s Eve from after 8 pm. Faregates will be open from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. and no SmarTrip card will be needed. Bus customers will not need to tap between those hours either.
🚇Metrorail is open late! Metrorail will also stay open until 2 a.m., an extra two hours of service.
🎆Construction on the Blue, Orange and Silver Line is OVER! Regular travel has resumed!
🥂 WMATA Bus and Metrorail service will run a Sunday schedule for New Year’s Day.
