    Expect major disruptions to bus service across Washington, D.C. this Saturday, March 16th due to the 2024 Rock n’ Roll Marathon. Street closures associated with the event will impact several Metrobus routes from 3:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

    • Affected Routes: 16E, 32, 33, 36, 42, 43, 52, 54, 64, 70, 79, 80, 90, 92, 96, D4, D6, G2, H2, H4, L2, P6, S2, S9, X2 (full list available).

    Detailed Disruptions by Route:

    • 16E Columbia Pike: Early morning trips (3:00 AM – 8:00 AM) will operate between Culmore and Pentagon City (Bus Bay B) due to street closures.
    • 32, 36 Pennsylvania Avenue: Buses will operate between Southern Ave/Naylor Rd and H St NW at 17th St due to marathon route restrictions.
    • 33 Wisconsin Avenue: Service terminates at Friendship Heights due to street closures. Consider alternative routes to reach destinations beyond this point.
    • 42, 43 Mount Pleasant: Buses will operate between Farragut Square and Connecticut Ave NW at Leroy Pl due to marathon route restrictions.
    • 52, 54 14th Street: Service will be split north and south of Harvard St. Northbound buses will terminate at Takoma Station or 14th St NW and Monroe St, while southbound buses will operate between U St NW at 14th St or Metro Center and L’Enfant Plaza.
    • 64 Fort Totten-Petworth: Service will be split north and south of Harvard St. Northbound buses will terminate at Fort Totten, while southbound buses will operate between U St NW at Vermont Ave and 11th St NW at E St.
    • 70, 79 Georgia Ave – 7th Street: Service will be split north and south of Harvard St. Northbound buses will terminate at Silver Spring Transit Center, while southbound buses will operate between Shaw-Howard University Station and 7th St NW at F St.
    • 80 North Capitol Street: Both northbound and southbound services will experience detours around the marathon route.
