Please be advised of several important service changes impacting Metrorail and Metrobus routes during the week of February 19th.
Metrorail Weeknight Service Changes (Until February 23rd):
Wednesday – Thursday:
- Red Line: After 10 PM, single-track operation between Friendship Heights and Medical Center. Trains run every 16 minutes after 10 PM.
- Blue Line: After 10 PM, single-track operation between Smithsonian and Federal Center SW. Trains run every 18 minutes after 10 PM.
- Silver Line: After 10 PM, single-track operation between Smithsonian and Federal Center SW. Trains run every 18 minutes after 10 PM.
- Orange Line: After 10 PM, single-track operation between Smithsonian and Federal Center SW. Trains run every 18 minutes after 10 PM.
Friday:
- All lines operate on normal schedule.
Additional Information:
- Please plan extra travel time due to potential delays during single-track operations.
- Real-time service updates are available in Moovit.
- Consider alternative transportation options during peak travel times.
Temporary Bus Stop Relocation:
Route: F13, T18
Location: Annapolis Rd at 76th Ave (westbound)
Effective Date: Until July 19th
Riders will temporarily board/exit buses at a stop located approximately 250 feet east of the original location, in front of Proctor’s Auto Store.
Detour Ending:
Routes: F1, R4
Location: Hamilton St and Ager Rd
Effective Date: February 22nd – March 5th
Routes F1 and R4 will resume their regular route due to construction ending.
Please note: A southbound stop on Ager Rd & Hamilton St will be permanently closed, while a new southbound and northbound stop will be established in the same area. Refer to the detailed advisory for specific stop changes.
