Service changes during Sukkot and Simchat Tora

Dear riders,

We have collected several public transit changes that will take place during Sukkot and Simchat Tora.

🚍 Bus service changes 

  • On Sukkot eve (Oct 9) and Simchat Torah (Oct 16), buses will operate on a Friday schedule
  • On Sukkot (Oct 10) and Simchat Torah (Oct 17) buses will operate on Saturday schedule

Tel Aviv Weekend Lines will operate during Sukkot holidays in a regular weekend format.

  • Sukkot holiday – 9-10.10, Sunday-Monday
  • Simchat Torah Monday – 16-17, Sunday-Monday

🚆 Israel Railways service changes during Sukkot

Sukkot Eve (Oct 9) & Simchat Torah Eve (Oct 16)

Passenger trains will operate between 06:00 – 15:00 (approximately) in an enhanced format, based on Friday schedules, plus a train service between the Nahariya – Haifa – Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion Airport – Modi’in stations, as well as between the Karmiel – Haifa – Tel Aviv – Be’er Sheva stations.

Between Haifa and Tel Aviv, train frequency will be two trains every hour in each direction.

On this day, the route of the line traveling between the Netanya – Tel Aviv – Lod – Beit Shemesh stations will be extended, and trains on this line will start and end their journey at Hadera West station (instead of Netanya).

In addition, trains will operate on the lines that operate every Friday:

  • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Herzliya.
  • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Modi’in Center.
  • Netanya – Tel Aviv – Rehovot.
  • Beer Sheva – Ofakim – Netivot – Sderot – Ashkelon.
  • Herzliya – Tel Aviv – Moshe Dayan – Ashkelon.
  • Beit She’an – Haifa Hof HaKarmel (on these days, slight changes will apply to the departure times of the trains on this line).

Sukkot (Oct 10) & Simchat Torah(Oct 17)

Passenger trains will operate between 21:00 – 24:00 (approximately) in an enhanced format, based on Friday schedules, plus a train service between the Nahariya – Haifa – Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion Airport – Modi’in stations, as well as between the Karmiel – Haifa – Tel Aviv – Be’er Sheva stations.

Between Haifa and Tel Aviv, train frequency will be two trains every hour in each direction.

On these days, the route of the line traveling between the Netanya – Tel Aviv – Lod – Beit Shemesh stations will be extended, and trains on this line will start and end their journey at Hadera West station (instead of Netanya).

In addition, trains will be operated on the lines operating every Saturday evening:

  • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Herzliya.
  • Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon – Modi’in Center.
  • Netanya – Tel Aviv – Rehovot.
  • Beer Sheva – Ofakim – Netivot – Sderot – Ashkelon.
  • Herzliya – Tel Aviv – Moshe Dayan – Ashkelon.
  • Beit She’an – Haifa Hof HaKarmel (on these days, slight changes will apply to the departure times of the trains on this line).

📍 Sukkot holiday week, Tuesday through Thursday, October 11-13 as well as on Isru Chag, Tuesday, October 18:

The trains will operate in an enhanced weekday format.

A special train will operate, whose route will be extended and will start its journey at Be’er Sheva Center station at 9:41 and end its journey at Haifa Center HaShmona station (instead of Tel Aviv Savidor Center station). The train will stop at the following stations: Be’er Sheva North-University, Lehavim-Rahat, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malachi, Mezkeret Batya, Ramla, Lod, all Tel Aviv stations, Herzliya, Haifa Hof HaKarmel, Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Center HaShmona (terminal stop).

A special train will operate, whose route will be extended and will start its journey at 14:03 at Haifa Center HaShmona station (instead of Tel Aviv Savidor Center station). The train will stop at the following stations: Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Hof HaKarmel, Herzliya, all Tel Aviv stations, Lod, Ramla, Mezkeret Batya, Kiryat Malachi, Kiryat Gat, Lehavim Rahat, Be’er Sheva North-University, Be’er Sheva Center.
