Dear riders,
We have collected for you several public transit changes that will take place during Yom Kippur (October 1st- October 2nd). Many agencies will provide shortened and alternative service for the Eve of Yom Kippur and the Night of Yom Kippur. Main bus agencies, rail, and light rail service will have no service on Yom Kippur. Moovit is updated. We suggest using our trip planner to plan your trip in advance. Just set your desired arrival or departure time.
Changes in Israel Railways service
Yom Kippur Eve, Wednesday, 1.10.25:
Trains will operate according to a special schedule, including reinforced service on the eve of the holiday to enable optimal train service.
On this day, passenger trains will run until 13:00 in an enhanced format, based on the Friday timetable, with additional service of two trains per hour (instead of one per hour) on the Haifa–Tel Aviv line, as well as the operation of train service on the Be’er Sheva–Dimona line.
Yom Kippur, Thursday, 2.10.25:
As every year, no trains will operate on the evening after Yom Kippur, Thursday, 2.10.25 (10 of Tishrei, 5786).
Alternative shuttle services will not be provided.
Train service will resume on Friday, 3.10.25.
🚌 Changes in Bus service
🔸 On Yom Kippur eve, Wednesday, October 1st, bus service will gradually end between 14:00-15:00.
🔸 On Yom Kippur, Thursday, October 2nd, bus services will gradually resume starting at approximately 20:00.
🚋 Changes in the Light Rail Dankal – The Red Line
Last trains on Yom Kippur Eve, Wednesday, October 1:
- Train R1 from Komemiyut Bat Yam Station to Petah Tikva Central Station will depart at 13:00.
- Train R1 from Petah Tikva Central Station to Komemiyut Bat Yam Station will depart at 13:00.
- Train R2 from Komemiyut Station to Petah Tikva Kiryat Aryeh Station will depart at 13:30.
- Train R3 from Tel Aviv Eliphelet Station to Petah Tikva Kiryat Aryeh Station will depart at 13:55.
- Train R3 from Petah Tikva Kiryat Aryeh Station to Tel Aviv Eliphelet Station will depart at 13:40.
Service will resume after Yom Kippur, on Thursday, October 2, 2025 (10 Tishrei 5786), at 21:30.
