Massive changes in Southbound trains
Starting Tuesday, January 12, until February 3, massive changes will take place in Israel Railways due to maintenance work. The changes are expected to take place until Wednesday, February 3, 2021, as follows:
- All southern stations from Tel Aviv Ha’Hagana station will be temporarily closed. Tel Aviv Ha’Haganah station will be the last station that can be reached from the North
- Herzliya – Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon, Rosh HaAyin North – Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan – Beer Sheva lines will not operate
- The following stations will be closed: Rosh HaAyin North, Petah Tikva Sgula, Petah Tikva Kiryat Arie, Bnei Brak, Lod, Lod Ganei Aviv, Kfar Chabad, Modi’in Merkaz, Paatei Modi’in, Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon, Holon Junction, Holon Wolfson, Bat Yam Yoseftal, Bat Yam Komemiyot, Ramla, Beit Shemesh, Beer Yaakov, Rishon Lezion Ha’Rishonim, Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan, Rehovot, Yavne East, Yavne West, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Sderot, Netivot, Ofakim, Mazkeret Batim, Mazkeret Kiryat Malachi Yoav, Kiryat Gat, Lehavim Rahat, Beer Sheva North – University, Beer Sheva Center, Dimona.
Train service is expected to return to normal on Wednesday, 3.2.2021.

General public-transit guidelines
- Service Hours – On weekdays and Saturday evenings public transportation lines (except Israel Railways) will operate as usual. Israel Railways continues to operate only between Sundays-Thursdays
- Ride payments on public transportation – on buses, cash payment is not allowed, with the exception of Judea and Samaria residents, visually impaired assistants and senior citizens. Payment can be made via Moovit app and Rav Kav. CLICK HERE to register for payments via Moovit
- Israel Railways Entry Voucher – For every ride in Israel Railways, an entry voucher must be issued in advance. Please note – if your route is affected by the works mentioned above, you must select the final destination station according to the closure. More details can be found here .
We remind you, that in accordance with the Ministries of Health and Transportation guidelines, it is mandatory to wear a face mask in every ride and not use any public transportation line if having illness symptoms.
