Due to the security situation, there will be changes in public transit service as follows:
May 19 (Wednesday)
Israel Railways 
Student lines in cities where schools are closed will not operate today.
Night lines – throughout the country will not operate until further notice.
May 18 (Tuesday)
Due to the security situation, the frequency of buses is significantly reduced in many areas. In addition, following road closures in specific areas, bus lines will adjust their routes accordingly.
Israel Railways
- Starting at 19:00, there will be no service between Tel Aviv Haganah and Beer Sheva and free shuttles to the southern stations will be operating from Tel Aviv Haganah station. Tomorrow (Wednesday), the traffic between these stations will return to normal.
- Trains will not be operating on the following lines: Lod – Rishon LeZion, Dimona – Beer Sheva North – University, Carmiel – Beer Sheva.
- The following stations are closed for service: Dimona, Ofakim, Netivot, Sderot, Rishon LeZion, Yavneh East.
Student lines in cities where schools are closed will not operate today.
Night lines – throughout the country will not operate until further notice.
May 16 (Sunday)
Due to the security situation, bus lines will operate on a reduced schedule. In addition, due to road closures, bus lines will adjust their routes accordingly.
Israel Railways
On Sunday, May 16, there will be no service on the Herzliya – Lod – Beer Sheva line.
Student lines in cities where schools are closed will not operate until Tuesday, May 18.
May 13 (Thursday)
Student lines in cities where schools are closed will not operate today, Thursday (May 13), and tomorrow, Friday (May 14).
Night lines – throughout the country will not operate until Saturday night.
Israel Railways
Trains on the Nahariya-Beer Sheva line are operating between Nahariya and Tel Aviv Haganah.
Trains on the Binyamina-Tel Aviv-Rehovot-Ashkelon line are operating between Binyamina and Tel Aviv Haganah stations.
Trains on the Lod-Rishonim Rishon, Netanya-Beit Shemesh, Dimona-Beer Sheva North University are not operating.
The following stations are temporarily closed for service: Dimona, Beer Sheva Central, Beer Sheva North University, Ofakim, Netivot, Sderot, Lehavim Rahat, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malachi Yoav, Mazkeret Batya, Ramla, Lod, Kfar Chabad, Lod Ganei Aviv, Rishon LeZion Harishonim, Beit Shemesh.
The Carmiel-Beer Sheva line is temporarily not operating.
In the western Negev line, no trains are operating between Beer Sheva and Ashkelon stations, and there are changes in the schedules between Ashdod and Ashkelon stations.
Also, starting at 18:30 (approximately), train service between Nahariya and Kiryat Motzkin stations will be paused, and trains on the Beer Sheva/Modi’in-Nahariya lines will end their journey at Kiryat Motzkin station. Free shuttles will operate between Kiryat Motzkin and Nahariya stations.
May 12 (Wednesday)
Public transit service in the South, the western Negev, Lachish, the central Negev, Southern Shfela, Shfela, Gush Dan, Yarkon, and the Sharon areas will be significantly reduced.
Student lines in cities where schools are closed will not operate
Israel Railways – Starting at 16:00 (Wednesday), train service will be renewed on the segment between Tel Aviv Haganah and Lod stations, which was closed last night, and train service to Beer Sheva will resume (via line passing through Lod, Mazkeret Batya, Lehavim Rahat, Kiryat Gat, etc.). In addition, train service on the suburban (blue) line Binyamina-Tel Aviv-Rehovot-Ashdod will resume as well.
The following stations will be re-opened for service: Beer Sheva Central, Beer Sheva North, Kiryat Gat, Lehavim Rahat, Kiryat Malachi Yoav, Mazkeret Batya, Ramla, Kfar Chabad, Lod Ganei Aviv.
The service on the Karmiel-Beer Sheva line will be stopped, and passengers going from/to Karmiel and Ahihud stations that are destined or originating south of the Haifa Hof Hacarmel station will need to switch trains in Haifa.
Please note that due to the changes in train service, there are changes in frequencies on a number of lines, and you need to switch trains during your commute.
Train service on Beit Shemesh-Netanya and Rishon LeZion-Lod lines will not be resumed at the moment.
May 11 (Tuesday)
Changes in train service
Trains from Ashkelon to Ashdod depart every half hour, and not according to the regular schedule. There may be delays due to the situation, on the Ashkelon-Ashdod line as well as in other areas in the country.
Changes in bus lines service
- All student lines in areas where schools are not open, including in Be’er Sheva, Eshkol, Ashkelon, and Ashkelon Beach, as well as lines 27, 29, 36, 136, 379 and 479 are canceled.
- Line 19 from Ashkelon to Zikim base will terminate at Mavki’im, and will not continue to Zikim and Karmia. Line 20 from Ashkelon to the Erez border crossing will terminate at Kibbutz Gvar’am, and will not continue to Zikim, Yad Mordechai, Netiv HaAsara, and the Erez border crossing. Line 58 from Netivot to Beeri will stop at Moshav Shuva, and will not continue to Alumim and Beeri.
- Lines 365, 364, and 464 will operate from Ashkelon to the Ashkelon junction without any change, and from there will continue to of Kiryat Gat, Givati junction, Sderot, Sha’ar Hanegev junction, Netivot, and then will continue as usual. The lines will not stop at Ashkelon Junction, Beit Shikma Junction, Bat Hadar Junction, Mavkiim Junction, Zikim Junction, Yad Mordechai Junction, Kibbutz Erez Junction, and Sderot South Junction.
In the opposite direction, the lines will operate up to the Sha’ar Hanegev junction without any change, and from there they will pass in Heletz, Givati junction, Brachia junction, and Ashkelon junction and then will contninue to the Central Station. The lines will not stop at Sha’ar Hanegev Junction, Nir Am Junction, Kibbutz Erez Junction, Yad Mordechai Junction, Zikim Junction, Bat Hadar Junction, and Beit Shikma Junction.
- Line 361 from Ashkelon will operate up to Sha’ar Hanegev junction without any change, including the entrance to Sderot, and from there it will go directly to Netivot. The line will not stop at Sha’ar Hanegev Junction, Miflasim Junction, Kfar Aza Junction, Kibbutz Sa’ad Junction, Sa’ad Junction, Alumim Bari Junction, Shuva Junction, Zimrat Junction, Tekuma Junction, and Sdot Negev Education Campus.
In the opposite direction to Ashkelon, the line will operate up to Netivot Junction without any change, and will continue directly in the direction of Sderot, Sha’ar Hanegev Junction, and Sapir College and will continue from there as usual. The line will not stop at Netivot North Junction, Sdot Negev Education Campus, Tkuma Junction, Zimrat Junction, Shuva Junction, Sa’ad Junction, Kibbutz Sa’ad Junction, Kfar Aza Junction, and Miflasim Junction.
- Line 363 from Ashkelon will operate on the updated route of line 361 to Sderot, and from there will go through Sha’ar Hanegev junction and Netivot and from there will continue as usual. The line will not stop at Ashkelon Junction, Beit Shikma Junction, Bat Hadar Junction, Mavkiim Junction, Zikim Junction, Yad Mordechai Junction, Kibbutz Erez Junction, Sderot Train Station, and Begin and Herzl Streets.
In the opposite direction, to Ashkelon, the line will operate to Menachem Begin Blvd. without any change and from there it will go to the market square, Yigal Alon, Italian Jewry, Yitzhak Shamir, Sderot junction, Heletz, Givati junction, Brachia junction, and Ashkelon junction towards the Central Station. The line will not stop on Menachem Begin – Herzl Road, Nir Am Junction, Kibbutz Erez Junction, Yad Mordechai Junction, Zikim Junction, Bat Hadar Junction, and Beit Shikma Junction.
- Line 465 from Ashdod to Ofakim will operate up to the Berchia junction without any change, and from there it will continue to Givati junction, Sderot, the Sha’ar Hanegev junction, and Netivot and from there will continue as usual. The line will not stop at Brachia Junction, Beit Shikma Junction, Bat Hadar Junction, Mavkiim Junction, Zikim Junction, Yad Mordechai Junction, Kibbutz Erez Junction, and Sderot Darom Junction.
In the opposite direction from Ofakim to Ashdod, the line will operate up to the Sha’ar Hanegev junction without change, and from there to Heletz, Givati junction, Brachia junction, and Ashdod. The line will not stop at Sha’ar Hanegev junction, Nir Am junction, Kibbutz Erez junction, Yad Mordechai junction, Zikim junction, Bat Hadar junction, and Beit Shikma junction.
Due to missile falls in the Riviera area of Ashdod, the Ministry of Transportation ordered the shortening of the route of lines 2, 10, 11, 12, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 281 and operating them only from the second station. Line 5 in Sderot was also canceled. The route of lines 4 and 7 in Ashkelon was diverted through Shapira and Shai Agnon.
Changes will also be made to the routes of lines 490, 492, 498, 391, 361, 363, 364, 457, 464, and 465, which travel through the Givati junction. Routes 353 and 378 will travel via Road 34, between Sderot and Netivot.
