This month we had the pleasure of chatting with Jan Luedtke, Moovit’s German Country Manager. Jan arrived to Moovit in April 2015 from a Digital Marketing Agency where he worked on many projects including campaigns for the travel industry. His first degree is in Business Administration and his second is in High-tech and Entrepreneurship. This year, Jan returned to Berlin from the US to take the position with Moovit, but before that Jan was a world traveler, having lived in many places across Germany, the U.S. and Hong Kong.
Jan’s role at Moovit is multi-faceted. If he isn’t traveling across Germany and Austria establishing partnerships and presenting Moovit, he is analyzing numbers, attending speaking engagements or testing the app in new cities.
Although Jan has not yet been with Moovit a year, his impact has already been felt. When we asked him about his biggest achievement so far he said, “The Operations Team and I have made many improvements to the German version of the app since I arrived. I’m proud that we’ve converted the service in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg into a great one for these cities.”
Jan told us about some of his favorite aspects of working at Moovit, “There is such variety in the origin of the Moovit staff. I love working with people from so many different places across the world. Everyone brings something different to the company and it just works.” This international environment fits perfectly with Jan’s passion for traveling the world and experiencing new cultures. Jan can count China, Malaysia and Japan among the many countries he has visited. Perhaps it is even possible to say it was Jan’s love of travel that paved the way for his entry into Moovit. We are certainly happy his world voyage lead him to Moovit.
