Meet Amy Wyron, Moovit’s Director of Partnerships. Amy is originally from Washington, DC and joined Moovit at the end of 2012, when Moovit was entering the global markets. As Amy tells us with a beaming smile, her first city launch was Madrid, “this city will always hold a special place in my heart.” Whilst finishing her MBA, Amy interned at Waze and she told us “that’s when the startup bug bit me.” Impressively she speaks four languages; English, Hebrew, Spanish and Portuguese.

In her position as Director of Partnerships, Amy is responsible for the partnerships on a global and local level. She coordinates partnerships with different players across the transport industry and pioneers shared interest projects with various brands. Amy’s mission is to create mutual value for both Moovit and all of our partners. In addition, she leads the team of International Country Managers that cultivate Business Development and Marketing across 8 different countries.

Amy’s days are filled with varying activities. As Moovit aims to be the best public transport app both globally and locally, this means, as Amy describes, “I spend a lot of time diving into each market and learning about each place individually. I love that part of my job.”

Amy enthusiastically took the time to tell us one of her favorite anecdotes from her time at Moovit. “A few members of the Moovit Team and I were travelling to Rio de Janeiro for several meetings. As we flew in there was a huge rainstorm and after a very long flight, most of the Team decided to take a taxi to the hotel.” At this point, Amy said proudly, “I decided to go against the grain and use Moovit to navigate to the hotel. I arrived safely about 20 minutes later. It was only 2 hours later that the rest of the team joined me at the hotel.” Need we say anymore?
