SEPTA Schedule Updates

- The 38th Annual Blue Cross Broad Street Run kicks off Sunday, May 7th at 8:00 a.m. and SEPTA will offer every registered competitor a free ride on the Broad Street Line (see details below) to the starting line at Central High School Athletic Field, located between Olney Transportation Center and Logan Stations.
- The 10-mile course travels southbound on Broad Street and ends at the Philadelphia Navy Yard in South Philadelphia.

Service on the Broad Street Line
- Participants in the Blue Cross Broad Street Run may ride the Broad Street Line to the starting line until 9:00 a.m. for free the day of the race, Sunday, May 7, 2017.
- Participants must display their official competitor’s race bib number to a SEPTA cashier to gain entry.
- Twelve Express Broad Street Line Trains will be added to the service schedule Sunday, May 7th prior to the race, with stops at Olney Transportation Center and Fern Rock Transportation Center.
- The Blue Cross Broad Street Run has several popular places for spectators to view the race, which can be reached via the Broad Street Line

Service Detours
Before and during the event, the following SEPTA Bus Routes will operate on temporary detours:
Bus Route 16
Beginning at 4:00 a.m. until 7:30 a.m.
Location: Broad St. between Olney Ave. and Butler St.
Bus Routes 3, 4, 7, 9, 12, *15, 16, 17, 21, 23, 27, 29, 31, 32, 33, 37, 38, 39, 40, 42, 43, 44, 45, 48, 53, 54, 56, 60, 61, 64, 68, 75, 79, 124/125, G, J, H-XH, and R
Beginning at 7:30 a.m. until the event of the event
*Trolley Route 15: Buses will replace Trolleys during the event.
Regional Rail Service during the Event:
SEPTA Regional Rail Lines offer service to Center City for spectators and race participants.
- Race participants can take advantage of early morning service on the Glenside Combined Line and transfer to the Broad Street Line.
- Early morning train service from Glenside and Jenkintown will connect runners to the Broad Street Line at Fern Rock Transportation Center. Take the Broad Street line one (1) stop to Olney Transportation Center, where signs will direct you to the starting line area.
- Race spectators should check with Moovit and SEPTA for all service to and from the race.
- At the end of the Race, riders should take the Broad Street Line to City Hall Station where they can connect to Suburban Station and Regional Rail service.
