Buses replacing Blue Line service

    This Weekend in Boston: Blue Line service will be suspended between Bowdoin and State Street Stations, March 4 – 5, due to necessary station maintenance

    -Saturday, March 4, 2017 and Sunday, March 5, 2017

    During this time, Blue Line service will terminate/originate at State Street Station. For westbound service towards Government Center & Bowdoin, please exit the Blue Line at State Street and travel at the street-level. For eastbound service, please travel at the street-level to State Street in order to board the Blue Line. Regular Blue Line service will resume at the start of service the following Monday.

    A single train will operate between State Street outbound and Maverick outbound. Customers desiring service towards State Street will need transfer at Maverick Station on the outbound platform.

    Regular Green Line service will operate throughout these weekend service suspensions. Passengers who are looking to make connections from the Green Line to the Blue Line at Government Center are encouraged to remain on the Green Line (via a North Station or Lechmere bound train) to Haymarket Station. Upon arrival at Haymarket, please transfer to a southbound Orange Line train for service to State Street Station where connections can be made to the Blue Line.

    Passengers seeking service between Bowdoin and State Street Stations should please see station personnel for shuttle bus service between Bowdoin, Government Center, and State Street.
