    Many agencies are offering alternative service for Thanksgiving Day. Continue reading for more info. Moovit is updated, plan your travels in advance with our trip planner. 

    Thanksgiving Day Service by Agency

    • MBTA
      • Day Before Thanksgiving, Wednesday, November 22nd:
        • Increased Silver Line service to and from Logan Airport.
        •  Ferry will operate on a typical weekday schedule, with the exception of the following routes:
          • Hingham to Boston
          • Hingham to Hull/Logan to Boston
      • Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 23rd:
        • No Ferry service.
        • Subway, Bus, and The RIDE will run on a Sunday Schedule
        • Commuter Rail will run on a weekend schedule.
      • Day After Thanksgiving, Friday, November 24th:
        • Subway and The RIDE will run on a weekday schedule.
        •  Bus will run on a weekday no-school schedule. There will be increased Silver Line service to and from Logan Airport.
        • Commuter Rail will run on a weekend schedule.
    • Massport & Logan Express
      • Massport & Logan Express will operate regular service on Thanksgiving Day.
    • Rhode Island Public Transit Authority
      • Rhode Island Public Transit Authority will operate Sunday service on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23rd, and will Saturday service on Friday, November 24th.
    • Boston Express
      • Boston Express will operate regular service on Thanksgiving Day.
    • The following agencies will have no service on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 23rd:
      • Brockton Area Transit Authority
      • Lowell Regional Transit Authority
      • Merrimack Valley Transit
      • MetroWest Regional Transit Authority
      • Southeastern Regional Transit Authority
      • GATRA
      • Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority
      • Martha’s Vineyard Transit Authority (Route 10 service will run and is served by the Steamship Authority)
      • the WAVE – Nantucket Regional Transit Authority
      • EZRide
      • WRTA (Friday, Nov. 24th – Saturday Service)
      • 128 Business Council (Friday, Nov. 24th – No Service)
      • Cape Ann Transportation Authority
      • PVTA (Friday, Nov. 24th – Limited Service)
