    Weekday Service Levels

    Bus and Silver line

    🚏 Effective August 30, most bus routes will run on a regular schedule, similar to (or better than) pre-COVID service.

    🚏 These routes run with reduced service: 4, 18, 43, 52, 55, 79, 91, 92, 99, 216, 236, 245, 354, 426, CT2, SL1, and SL2.

     🚏These routes are suspended: 62, 76, 84, 170, 325, 326, 351, 352, 428, 434, 451, 456, 502, 503, and 505.

    Subway

    Ⓜ️ Regular weekday service on all lines.

    🗓️ Note that scheduled shuttles are running on the Green Line E branch between Lechmere – North Station through Spring 2021.

    Commuter Rail

    ⚠️ Modified weekday service on all lines.

    For riders on the Providence/Stoughton Line and Franklin Line: In accordance with the travel order in effect, passengers from Rhode Island coming to Massachusetts can travel without restriction for their work and school activities only. Passengers from Rhode Island not traveling for work or school must quarantine for 14 days or show proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

    Ferry

    ⛴️ Reduced weekday service for Hingham/Hull.

    ⛴️ Regular weekday service for Charlestown.

    The RIDE

    🚐Fare collection on The RIDE will resume on August 1.
    All trips must be booked 1 – 3 days in advance. Previously booked trips are not affected by this change.

    🚐The RIDE will make every effort to eliminate transfer trips to reduce customer interaction with multiple drivers. Shared trips have been eliminated. RIDE customers can still bring a personal care attendant or guest on their trip.

    🚐To cancel or reschedule your trip, call The Ride Access Center (TRAC).

    🚐The RIDE Eligibility Center (TREC) is closed until further notice.

    Systemwide August Updates (2020)

    Red LineThe Hancock Street lot will be closed beginning on Mon, Oct. 12 to allow for the construction of the North Quincy Garage. As an alternative, over 300 spaces will be available at the Newport Avenue lot.

     

    The Braintree and Quincy Adams parking garages will be closing for three months beginning Mon, Oct 5 for accelerated concrete replacement work.

     

     

    For access to Braintree Station, travel down to the first floor and use the pedestrian crosswalk to enter the station at the street level.
    This construction is part of the South Shore Parking Garages Improvements and Renovations Project. The pedestrian bridge will be replaced by a new garage lobby featuring elevators and stairwells.Affected routes:

    Orange LineNorth Station will be bypassed southbound on the weekend of October 31 – November 1, beginning Friday evening at 8:45 PM. Customers can exit at Haymarket and transfer to the Green Line or Orange Line to return to North Station.

     

    Station Issue
    Sullivan Square Station: Northbound trains will open doors on the left side only due to station maintenance work. Customers will board and exit trains on the center platform.
    The front parking lot at Wellington station will close on July 6th due to construction. Customers can use the rear lot as an alternative parking option.

    2)Shuttle buses replace D Branch service between Reservoir and Riverside Mon – Thurs from Oct 19 – Oct 29, beginning at 8:45 PM through the end of service.

    Please note that dates are subject to change:

    1)All buses are fully accessible. Please see an MBTA employee for assistance. No Shuttles at Beaconsfield:
    Why do shuttles skip Beaconsfield?
    Due to narrow roads near Beaconsfield, shuttles cannot safely stop there.
    We recommend
    – Taking the Green Line C branch from Dean Road, about a 4-minute walk from Beaconsfield
    – Accessing the Green Line D shuttle from Reservoir, about a 10-minute walk from Beaconsfield. Affected stops:
