May 2022 Caltrain Service Changes

April 28, 2022

From Monday, May 2 until Friday, May 20, Caltrain will temporarily reduce its weekday service levels down to 88 trains per day (from 104) to accommodate Caltrain Electrification work in San Mateo and Burlingame.

These changes affect the weekday peak morning (5:30-9:00 am) and late afternoon (3:30-7:00 pm) schedules and there will be no changes to weekday midday and evening service, or to weekend service.

Here is what you need to know 👇:

    • Baby Bullet service will be suspended during this period.
    • Trains will be single-tracking through Broadway, Burlingame, San Mateo, Hayward Park, and Hillsdale stations.
    • Approximately between the hours of 5:30-9:00 am and 3:30-7:00 pm, three trains per hour will operate in each direction. There will be no local service during these periods, but riders can transfer at mid-line stations to get to their destination.
