Chennai-Mysuru-Chennai Central Shatabdi Express Trains will now feature “Anubhuti” Coach

    Passengers can now book a spot on the “Anubhuti” coach on the Chennai-Mysuru service. From last week, Southern Railways began operating train services with an “Anubhuti” coach on the Chennai-Mysuru-Chennai route, the Train service Numbers are: 12007 / 12008.

    Fare Information

    The fare for travel in the “Anubhuti” coach is fixed at 1.2 x the executive class fare of the Shatabdi trains. Other charges such as reservation fee, superfast surcharge, GST, etc. will be charged separately. Normal rules pertaining to child fare apply. Concessional tickets and free complimentary passes, which are not fully reimbursed, will not be allowed. Passes issued to Members of Parliament and Rail Travel Coupons (RTCs) issued to MLAs/MLCs shall be permissible on the service. Seats remaining vacant at the time of first charting shall be offered for current booking at 10% discount.

    Booking Information

    For booking accommodation in the Anubhuti coach, passengers should use the number 22007 and 22008, instead of 12007 and 12008. Please note that this is applicable only to passengers booking accommodation in the Anubhuti coach.

    •  The “Anubhuti” coach has improved interiors, ergonomically designed seats and improved modular toilets with hands-free taps
    • The coach is equipped with overhead reading lights for every seat and the coach has diffused LED lighting
