CTA Service Changes
Bikes
- Bikes are not permitted on trains, and all strollers and carts are required to be folded prior to boarding buses and trains between 12:01 am, July 4 and 4 am, July 5.
Rail Lines
- Increased Capacity and More Frequent Service
Red Line: Trains will operate every 6 to 8 minutes between Howard and 95th/Dan Ryan from 6pm to 11:30pm.
Orange Line: Longer trains will operate between Midway and the Loop from 4pm to 1am next day.
Green Line: Longer trains will operate between Harlem/Lake and Ashland/63rd-Cottage Grove from 4pm to 1am next day.
Brown Line: Longer trains will operate between Kimball and the Loop from 8am to 11pm.
Blue Line: Longer trains will operate between Forest Park and O’Hare from 8am to 11pm.
Pink Line: Trains will operate between 54th/Cermak and the Loop more often every 12 minutes from 7pm to 11pm.
Purple Line: Trains will operate between Linden and Howard more often every 12 minutes from 4:30pm to 11pm.
Yellow Line: Longer trains will operate from Howard every 15 minutes until 1am the next day.

#3 King Drive: Buses will operate more frequently between 95th/Chicago State University and Congress/Michigan, 3:30pm to 6:30pm.
#4 Cottage Grove: Buses will operate more frequently between 95th/Chicago State University and South Water/Columbus, 5:15pm to 6:30pm.
#12 Roosevelt: Buses will operate more frequently between Harrison/Central and 15th Place/Indiana, 6pm to 6:40pm.
#J14 Jeffery Jump: Buses will operate more frequently between 103rd/Stony Island and Union Station Transportation Center 6pm to 7pm.
#29 State: Buses will operate more frequently between the 95th/Dan Ryan Red Line station and Navy Pier, 5pm to 7:30pm.
#65 Grand: Buses will operate more frequently between Grand/Nordica and Navy Pier, 4pm to 6:30pm.
#66 Chicago: Buses will operate more frequently between Chicago/Austin and Navy Pier, 4pm to 7pm.
#72 North: Service from North Avenue Beach will operate for approximately 30 minutes after the fireworks.
#124 Navy Pier: Buses will operate more frequently between Union Station Transportation Center and Navy Pier, 5pm to 7:45pm.
#151 Sheridan: Buses will operate more frequently between Union Station Transportation Center and Belmont/Halsted, 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
