    🎄 Holiday Schedule Updates: Many agencies are offering alternative service for Christmas and New Year’s. As always, Moovit is updated. Plan your travels with our trip planner. We have also compiled a list of your favorite agencies below.

    🚌 Real-Time Arrivals: Traveling during the Holiday season can be hectic but Moovit helps you stay informed with Real-Time arrival updates that let you know exactly when your bus/train/subway is arriving.

    Christmas & New Year’s Service for CTA

    ⚬ CTA

    • CTA will operate on a Sunday schedule on Christmas Day and New Years Day (12/25, 01/01)

    ⚬ PACE

    • Routes 208, 215, 223, 250, 270, 290, 301, 303, 305, 307, 308, 309, 310, 311, 313, 315, 317, 318, 322, 330, 332, 349, 350, 352, 353, 356, 357, 359, 364, 366, 606, Pulse Dempster Line, and Pulse Milwaukee Line will run on a Sunday schedule on Christmas Day (Monday, December 25). Sunday schedules will also be in effect on New Year’s Day (Monday, January 1).
    • Routes 379, 381, 383, 384, 386, 565, 568 and 571 will not operate on Christmas Day but will operate a Sunday schedule on New Year’s Day.
    • Routes 360 and 361 will not operate on Christmas Day but will operate on a regular Sunday schedule on New Year’s Day.
    • Routes 390, 392, 395, and 890 will operate as published.
    • On Monday, December 25 and Monday January 1, Pace Connect Harvey will operate 12am-6am and 11pm-11:59pm. On Tuesday, December 26 and Tuesday January 2, Pace Connect Harvey will operate 12am-5am.  Pace Connect O’Hare will operate as published.
    • Additionally, the Rosemont Entertainment Circulator and Schaumburg Trolley will operate as published.
    • No other service will operate on Christmas or New Year’s Day.

    ⚬ METRA

    • Beginning Monday, Dec. 18 through Friday, Dec. 29, Metra will once again make its Family Fares available for weekday travel during the holiday break. Family Fares, which are always available for weekend travel, allow up to three kids 11 and under to ride free with each adult.
    • On New Year’s Eve, Sunday, Dec. 31, Metra will for the fifth year in a row offer free rides on all trains arriving at or departing from Metra’s downtown stations after 6 p.m. On some of its lines, Metra will hold the last train of the evening for a later departure time to accommodate customers attending New Year’s Eve festivities downtown. (The last trains will depart between 1:15 a.m. and 1:25 a.m., depending on the line.)
    • Customers are reminded that a Sunday/holiday schedule will be in effect on Dec. 24, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1. Metra will operate a modified Sunday/holiday schedule on Dec. 31. There will be no service on the North Central Service, SouthWest Service and Heritage Corridor lines on those days.
    • Metra will also make special holiday passes available for unlimited travel on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. The holiday passes will offer unlimited rides through 3 a.m. the following day for $7
