Metrobus
- Buses will operate on regular weekday and weekend schedules, except for Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 18) and Inauguration Day (January 20).
- Buses will operate on a Saturday schedule on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 18) & on Inauguration Day (January 20).
- Check timetables for schedule information.
- On Wednesday, January 20 (Inauguration Day) only, Pentagon Transit Center will be closed. Buses will be relocated to the east side of Pentagon City, at Hayes Street S. and 12th Street S.
Metrorail
MLK Day Service Info.
- On Monday, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, trains will run from 5:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. operating on Saturday service frequencies, every 12-15 minutes on the Red Line, and every 15-20 minutes on all other lines.

Inauguration Day Closures & Alerts
- Through Thursday, January 21st, Farragut North, Judiciary Square, Union Station, Archives, Arlington Cemetery, Farragut West, McPherson Square, Federal Center SW, Capitol South, Smithsonian, & Federal Triangle stations will be closed & trains will pass through the stations without stopping.
- Through Thursday, January 21st, Metro Center and Gallery Place stations will close and trains will pass through the stations without stopping.
- On Wednesday, January 20th, Pentagon Station will be closed.

MTA/MDOT
MARC Train
- MARC Train will suspend all service on the Penn, Camden, and Brunswick lines through and including Wednesday, January 20.
- MARC Train is expected to resume service on all three lines on Thursday, January 21.

Commuter Bus
- Due to the observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Commuter Bus Service will NOT operate on Monday, January 18, 2021; except Route 201.
- Commuter Bus Service will NOT be able to service the downtown Washington DC stops on Tuesday, January 19 through Friday, January 22, 2021; Instead, buses will terminate in the AM and originate in the PM at outlying WMATA Metro stations
- Transfers will be available via WMATA Metro

Micro-mobility/Scooters/Bikeshare
- Lime, Lyft, Spin, and Helbiz (formerly Skip) will disable scooters downtown, suspending service between K Street NW and Independence Avenue, and 19th Street NW and 2nd Street NE/2nd Street SE.
- The city’s biking service has closed stations around Capitol Hill, the National Mall, and Union Station. No reopening date has been announced.
DC Circulator
- The National Mall route will remain closed until Monday, January 25. Meanwhile, four routes will modify their pathways, skipping over select stops depending on road closures.
DC Streetcar
- Streetcar service is currently shut down for the inauguration. No reopening date has been announced.
