Underground lines U1 and U2 will be suspended between Central Station and Kolumbusplatz during the following dates
- Friday, 20.04. (22.00 hrs.) – Sunday, 22.04.2018 (end of service)
Shuttle trains will operate in a 12 minutes headway in this section only. Please allow more time for traveling and be aware of capacity bottlenecks.
To avoid the affected section replacement tram U2 will be in service on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from ca. 09.00 until 00.00 hrs. in a 10 minutes headway between Stiglmaierplatz and Wettersteinplatz via Central Station (Bahnhofplatz) – Karlsplatz (Stachus) – Sendlinger Tor – Fraunhoferstraße – Ostfriedhof – Silberhornstraße.
Services will be limited as follows:
U1 operates Olympia-Einkaufszentrum – Central Station every 10 minutes, between Kolumbusplatz and Mangfallplatz every 20 minutes. Please mind and use the bypass recommendations listed below.
U2 operates Feldmoching – Central Station every 10 minutes. In the south section, trains operate from Messestadt Ost to Giesing Bf. every 10 minutes, to/from Kolumbusplatz every 20 minutes only. Please mind and use the bypass recommendations listed below.
Services of U8 will be suspended. Please use U3 between Sendlinger Tor and Olympiazentrum resp. U2 between Central Station and Scheidplatz.
Platform changes in the city center
Please mind the revised signage at Central Station, Sendlinger Tor, Fraunhoferstraße and Kolumbusplatz and pay attention to announcements.

As bypass we recommend the following possibilities:
- Replacement tram U2: Stiglmaierplatz – Central Station – Karlsplatz (Stachus) – Sendlinger Tor – Fraunhoferstraße – Ostfriedhof – Silberhornstraße – Wettersteinplatz
- Tram 18: Central Station South – Karlsplatz (Stachus) – Sendlinger Tor – Fraunhoferstraße – Ostfriedhof – Giesing Bf
- Bus 52: Sendlinger Tor – Marienplatz (Rindermarkt) – Kolumbusplatz Nord – Candidplatz
- Bus 58: Central Station – Goetheplatz – Kolumbusplatz – Silberhornstraße
- ExpressBus X98: Central Station – Goetheplatz – Humboldtstraße – Candidplatz:
- U5: Central Station – Odeonsplatz – Ostbahnhof – Innsbrucker Ring
- S3 and S7: Central Station – Marienplatz – Ostbahnhof – Giesing Bf
- S4: Central Station – Marienplatz – Ostbahnhof – Trudering Bf
