The government urges people to only travel if it is absolutely essential to do so. A number of operators are running a reduced service in order to help key workers travel and for essential shopping or medical needs.

Service changes are as follows:
Cardiff Bus
- Until further notice, Cardiff Bus are offering free travel on all our buses for NHS staff. Just show your NHS staff ID to the driver and travel for free
- Services 1 & 2 – these services will follow Saturday timetables Monday-Saturday until further notice. No service on Sundays.
- Service 6 – 30 min daytime frequency, no evening service
- Service 8 & 9 – Sunday timetable with extra morning buses for Heath Hospital. There will be a reduced hourly frequency after 18:00 on Sunday and Saturday
- Service 11 – Sunday timetable. Extra morning buses from Pengam Green to city centre on weekdays
- Service 13, 17, 18, 4, 21, 23, 24, 25, 28B, 30, 35, 92, 94, 96A, 100 – Sunday timetable
- Service 15, 51, 64, 65, 65A, 66, H59 – no weekend service
- Service 27 – weekday service will operate a Sunday timetable with extra morning buses. Weekend will have a 30 min daytime frequency.
- The following services are suspended: 9C, 53, 93, 95A, 95B, 97, 97A, M1, M2, M3, M4
- Service 51 – special timetable with 2 morning journeys to connect Pentwyn and Cyncoed to Heath Hospital Monday – Friday.
- Service H59 – this hospital Park & Ride service will follow its normal Monday – Friday timetables on weekdays. No service on Saturdays or Sundays.
- Service 63 will follow Sunday timetable but only run as far as Ty Nant Court, not running to Pentyrch/Creigiau.
- Service X59 – Special timetable including half hourly service to St. Edeyrn’s via Pontprennau.
Arriva Buses Wales
- Service G3 is to be withdrawn, the last day of operation will be Saturday 28 March 2020.
- As of Monday 23rd March some services are operating with reduced frequency.

South West Wales Transport
- Swansea Council has today informed us that their contracted local bus services are to be temporarily suspended after Saturday 28th March 2020. The suspensions are to be in place until otherwise notified or until 31st August 2020, whichever is the earliest date. This applies to the following services:
- Service 5 (Swansea City Centre to Cwmdonkin)
- Service 49 (Swansea City Centre to North Hill)
- Service 54 (Swansea City Centre to Parc Llewellyn)
- Service 37 (Swansea City Centre to Oystermouth)
- Service X6C (Graig Felen to Clydach & Craig Cefn Parc)
Transport for Wales Trains
- A reduced timetable will operate throughout the Transport for Wales rail network starting Monday 23 March 2020. This will operate until further notice. This means that Sunday service times will be applied seven days a week. Some additional train services may also operate to support selected urban commuter routes. Train times may be subject to short notice change.
Current advice for using transport safely
- Consider changing the time when you need to use public transport. Travelling outside of peak times will help reduce the number of people using the network at the same time and support social distancing measures that are currently in place.
- Wash your hands with soap and water frequently for at least 20 seconds. Use hand sanitiser whenever soap and water are unavailable.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and then place the tissue into the bin straight away.
- Try to use contactless payments.
