COVID-19 Service Information Update

    Moovit is updating our transport data in order to provide you with accurate information on Coronavirus-related service changes and allow you to use Moovit to plan your journeys.

    We will keep this page updated. (Last update: 9th June 2020)

     

    West Yorkshire Bus and Train Service updates

    People are being urged to consider whether their journey is necessary before using public transport and to consider cycling or walking as an alternative to public transport where possible.

    Options to cycle and walk are shown on Moovit where possible. 

    Those who do need to travel are being asked to maintain social distancing of 2 metres, wear a face covering and pay contactless where possible and wash their hands before and after their journey.

    From June 15, Government guidelines require people to wear a face covering on public transport with exemptions for the very young and those with disabilities or breathing difficulties.

     

    Leeds Park and Ride – Temple Green Park & Ride and Elland Road Park & Ride are CLOSED in line with the significant reduction in the number of people travelling into Leeds.

    Connexions Buses – Services 781, 923, 963 and 964 are suspended X52 and X70 services are running from Monday 1 June

    Halifax Bus Company – No services operating since Thursday 26 March.

    Ross Travel – Services are running again from Monday 1 June

    South Pennine Community Transport – Revised timetables are running for the Holme Valley services and services 241 & X49.

    Square Peg – More services running from Monday 1 June

    Station Coaches – Services 116 and 177 have not run since Wednesday 25 March. Service ML1 will continue to operate.

    Stotts – will begin running bus services again on Monday 1 June. South Pennine Community Transport will run the 309, 911, H1, H3, H5, H6 and X7

    Streamline Bus – No services operating since Wednesday 25 March

    Stringers – Services 499 and 500 have not run since Thursday 2 April

    Wakefield Free City Bus – Not running since Thursday 26 March

    Watersons – Service 249 will start again from Monday 8 June to the normal timetable.

    Travel Centres – In line with the closure of all but essential retail services, it has become necessary to close all West Yorkshire bus station travel centres until further notice. MCard customers, who have to travel, can still add travel tickets to their MCard via alternative methods. To find out how visit m-card.co.uk

    National Express Coach Travel is temporarily suspended. Services resuming from 1 July 2020 are subject to change depending on Government advice

    School Bus Services – School bus services will continue to operate so that children of key workers and those who need to travel for work can attend in line with Government guidelines.
