O’Hare-bound Trains Bypass Jefferson Park Station

    Now – Monday, October 22, 2018 – 8:00 PM

    Full Description:

How does this affect my trip?
O’Hare-bound trains will not stop at Jefferson Park station.

    • For O’Hare-bound service from Jefferson Park station, take a Forest Park-bound train to Montrose and transfer to an O’Hare-bound train.
    • For O’Hare-bound service to Jefferson Park station, stay on an O’Hare-bound train to Harlem (O’Hare branch) and transfer to a Forest Park-bound train.

Consider using the adjacent Blue Line stations at Montrose or Harlem, where trains in both directions will continue to stop.

#88 Higgins buses connect with the Harlem (O’Hare branch) Blue Line station. #78 Montrose buses connect with the Montrose Blue Line station.

#81 Lawrence (service at all times) buses also connect with the Red and Brown lines farther east, and the #56 Milwaukeebus connects with the Blue Line at Logan Square and continues southeast into downtown. Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line service to downtown is also available at the Metra Jefferson Park station, located within the Jefferson Park Transit Center.

    Allow extra travel time.

Note: Trains will stop in both directions during work where trains share the same track through the station. See other alerts for dates and times when this occurs.

    Why is service being changed?
We are performing station construction to improve the Jefferson Park station as part of the Your New Blue modernization program.

    You ride, we guide.
