DC – MD – VA Tomorrow is the U.S. General Election: Let Moovit Take You to the Polls!

    Election Day is right around the corner! Next Tuesday, millions of Americans will head to the polls to cast their votes. We know how important it is to make your voice heard, so Moovit is here to help you get to your polling station without any hassle. 

    Simply open the Moovit app and enter your precinct number or polling location’s name. You’ll see your polling location in Featured Places in Moovit’s search engine.

    Moovit will find the best route and will guide you with real-time information on bus, train, or other transit options to ensure you arrive on time.

    To make voting even more accessible, many transit agencies are offering free rides on Election Day. Here are some of the agencies providing complimentary rides to support voters:

    • Montgomery County Ride On (MD) – On Tuesday, November 5th (Election Day), Montgomery Ride On will offer fare free rides
    • HRT (Hampton Roads, VA) – On Tuesday, November 5th (Election Day), HRT buses, light rail, ferry, paratransit & OnDemand rideshare will be free.
    • MTA (MD) – On Tuesday, November 5th (Election Day), MTA will offer fare free rides on Local Bus (CityLink, LocalLink and Express BusLink), Metro Subway, Light Rail & the Mobility paratransit system.
    • BRITE Bus (Waynesboro and Staunton, County of Augusta, VA – On Tuesday, November 5th (Election Day), BRITE bus will offer fare free rides
    • Valley Metro (Roanoke County, VA) – On Tuesday, November 5th (Election Day), Valley Transit will offer fare free rides
    • Suffolk Transit (Suffolk, VA) – On Tuesday, November 5th (Election Day), Suffolk Transit will offer fare free rides
    • WATA (Williamsburg, VA) – On Tuesday, November 5th (Election Day), WATA will offer fare free rides

    Note that transit agencies that are always fare free (on all operational days) are not listed*

    Need more options? Uber & Lime are helping Voters get to the polls.

    • Uber is offering US riders 50% off rides to their polling place (up to $10) when they use our new ‘Go Vote’ tile to book a ride. 
    • Lime is helping voters vote early, use code VOTE2024 to get a free ride on a Lime bike or scooter to cast your ballot.
