DC Metro
Summary of Metrorail weekend service changes for the week of October 1-5:
- Red, Orange, Silver and Yellow line trains operate every 20-25 minutes
- Blue Line trains operate every 20-25 minutes. (Monday – Thursday, trains operate between Franconia-Springfield and Eastern Market only)
- Green Line trains operate regular weeknight service
Red Line
Weeknight: Trains every 20-25 minutes
- Monday – Friday, 10:00 p.m. until close, single-tracking between Friendship Heights and Van Ness to allow for rail, tie and fastener renewal.
Orange Line
Weeknight: Trains every 20-25 minutes
- Monday – Thursday, 10:00 p.m. until close, single-tracking between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory to allow for rail, tie and grout pad renewal.
- Friday, 10:00 p.m.until close, single tracking between Clarendon and East Falls Church to allow for installation of cable/communication equipment to support cellular service in tunnels and new radio system.
Silver Line
Weeknight: Trains every 20-25 minutes
- Monday – Thursday, 10:00 p.m. until close, single-tracking between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory to allow for rail, tie and grout pad renewal.
- Friday, 10:00 p.m.until close, single tracking between Clarendon and East Falls Church to allow for installation of cable/communication equipment to support cellular service in tunnels and new radio system.
Blue Line
Weeknight: Trains every 20-25 minutes
- Monday – Thursday, 10:00 p.m. until close, single tracking between Pentagon City and National Airport to allow for grout pad, fastener and stud renewal. Blue Line trains will operate between Franconia-Springfield and Eastern Market only.
- Users traveling to/from stations between Potomac Avenue and Largo Town Center should use the Silver Line to complete their trip.
- Friday, 10:00 p.m. until close, single tracking between Pentagon City and National Airport.
- Blue Line trains will operate between Franconia-Springfield and Largo Town Center.
Yellow Line
Weeknight: Trains every 20-25 minutes Huntington to Mt Vernon Sq only
- Monday – Friday, 10:00 p.m. until close, single tracking between Pentagon City and National Airport to allow for grout pad, fastener and stud renewal.
- Trains will operate between Huntington and Mt Vernon Sq only.
- Users traveling to/from stations north of Mt Vernon Sq should use the Green Line to complete their trip.
