Rapid Metro, India’s first metro corridor that is privately built and operated
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has approved the takeover.
The other implications of the takeover will also be worked out over the next three months.
Rapid Metro was to have initiated a third phase crossing Delhi-Gurugram expressway and foray into Udyog Vihar.
But this never took off because DMRC route from Dwarka has been kept on the backburner by the Haryana government.
But now, the scenario might change. DMRC has submitted a new route plan to extend its Yellow Line from Huda City Centre.
Rapid Metro said its top management would absorb into the parent organisation and the present post of CEO will be abolished once DMRC takes over.
