Disruption on the MRT network seems endless.
We had reported planned disruption on MRT network for months, each month involving different lines. It can be frustrating at times but please bear with the hardworking workers at SMRT as they perform vital engineering works on the MRT systems so you can have more reliable train service and a more comfortable journey.
1) East West Line (EWL): Stations between Bugis & Tanah Merah will experience early closure for engineering works
On the night of 3rd & 4th May (Friday & Saturday), several stations Between Bugis (EW12|DT14) and Tanah Merah (EW4|CG) will end its service earlier at around 11pm. There will be no service from Lavender (EW11) to Bedok (EW5) and trains service will terminate at Bugis & Tanah Merah respectively.
2) Shuttle 6 | Bugis – Tanah Merah: Replacement shuttle during early closure of stations.
During planned disruption of the East-West Line (EWL), replacement service (Shuttle 6) will be activated for passengers who wish to travel to affected stations. The said replacement service will run at a frequency of 3-5 minutes.
