    Public Transport Changes

    London Underground

    District Line

    Saturday 20 and Easter Sunday 21 April, no service between Earl’s Court – Wimbledon, and Aldgate East – Barking. Replacement buses will operate.

    Hammersmith & City Line 

    Good Friday 19 – Easter Monday 22 April, no service between Aldgate East – Barking. Replacement buses will operate.

    Overground

    Sunday 21 April

    There will be no service between Sydenham and Crystal Palace. Use Moovit to plan your journey on local London Buses.

    Rail replacement buses will operate between Balham and West Croydon calling at Streatham Hill, West Norwood, Gipsy Hill, Crystal Palace and Norwood Junction.

    Easter Sunday 21 April, until 1015, there will be no service:

    • between Liverpool Street and Chingford. Replacement buses operate between Hackney Downs and Chingford, use London Underground connections between Liverpool Street and Walthamstow Central. 
    • between Liverpool Street and Enfield Town / Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters). Replacement buses operate between Seven Sisters and Enfield Town / Cheshunt, use London Underground connections between Liverpool Street and Seven Sisters.

    Easter Sunday 21 April, until 1100, there will be no service between Richmond / Shepherds Bush and Camden Road. Use District line between Richmond and Gunnersbury, and local buses 220 and 228 between Shepherds Bush and Willesden Junction. Replacement buses operate between Gunnersbury and Camden Road.

    Good Friday 19, Saturday 20, Easter Sunday 21 and Monday 22 April, no service between Euston and Kilburn High Road, use local London Buses or Underground services.

    Good Friday 19, Saturday 20, Sunday 21 and Easter Monday 22 April, no service between Gospel Oak and Barking. Replacement buses operate between Gospel Oak and Seven Sisters (for South Tottenham), and between Walthamstow Central and Barking.

    DLR

    Good Friday 19 until Easter Monday 22 April, no service between Bank/Tower Gateway and Poplar/West India Quay. A replacement bus will operate.

    London Trams

    Monday 15 – Sunday 21 April, there will be no trams between Addiscombe and Birkbeck/Elmers End due to planned works. Replacement buses will operate between East Croydon and Birkbeck.

    TfL Rail: Liverpool Street – Shenfield

    A Saturday service will run on Good Friday 19 April, Saturday 20 April and Easter Monday 22 April – there will be trains about every 10 minutes along the entire line
    A normal Sunday service will run on Easter Sunday (21 April). Trains will run about every 15 minutes between Liverpool Street and Gidea Park. Trains will run about every 30 minutes between Gidea Park and Shenfield

    National Rail

    From Friday 19 until Monday 22 April:

    Trains will not run to / from London Fenchurch Street
    Trains will not run between Barking and Grays via Rainham. Buses will run between Rainham / Purfleet and Upminster to connect with alternative train services and also between Dagenham Dock and Rainham

    On Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday:

    2 trains per hour will run between London Liverpool Street and Shoeburyness via Basildon
    2 trains per hour will run between Grays and Southend Central
    2 trains per hour will run between Upminster and Grays
    Trains will not call at Barking until after 07:00

    On Easter Saturday:

    4 trains per hour will run between London Liverpool Street and Shoeburyness via Basildon
    2 trains per hour will run between Grays and Southend Central
    2 trains per hour will run between Upminster and Grays
    Trains will not call at Barking until after 07:00
    West Ham United are at home against Leicester City. Additional services will run before and after the match and services will be formed of 8 or 12 carriages

    Chiltern Railways

    On Good Friday and Easter Monday, an amended Saturday timetable will operate. Trains will not call at Sudbury Hill Harrow or Sudbury & Harrow Road.

    On Easter Saturday, an amended Saturday timetable will operate.

    On Easter Sunday, an amended Sunday timetable will operate.

    From Friday to Monday, a reduced service will run between London Marylebone and Amersham / Aylesbury Vale Parkway.

    Trains will not call at stations between Birmingham Snow Hill and Kidderminster and buses will replace mainline trains to and from Kings Sutton, Hatton and Lapworth.

    East Midlands Trains
    On Easter Sunday:

    Trains to and from London St Pancras International will run to an amended timetable, with some trains departing earlier than normal and not calling at Derby or Long Eaton. Rail replacement buses will be provided between Derby and Long Eaton.
    Engineering work in the Edge Hill area means that trains between Norwich / Nottingham and Liverpool Lime Street will be diverted, not calling at Warrington Central, Widnes or Liverpool South Parkway. Trains will call additionally at Newton-le-Willows, where customers can use replacement buses to and from Warrington Central and Widnes.

    Gatwick Express

    On Good Friday and Easter Saturday, there will be no service.

    On Easter Sunday, an amended, half hourly service will run.

    On Easter Monday, a Saturday service will operate. 4 trains per hour will run between London and Gatwick Airport.

    Great Western Railway
    On Easter Sunday:

    Trains will not run between Westbury, Castle Cary and Taunton. Services will be diverted via an alternative route. A limited bus service will also run between these stations.
    Buses will replace trains between Frome and Yeovil Pen Mill.
    Trains between Reading and Redhill will be slightly retimed.
    Some early morning services between Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn will be amended.
    Early morning trains between Reading and Basingstoke will be replaced by buses or cancelled.
    Trains between London Paddington and Cheltenham Spa will be amended to run between Swindon and Cheltenham Spa only. Alternative train services will be available between London Paddington and Swindon

    Greater Anglia
    From Good Friday until Easter Monday:

    Buses will replace trains between Shenfield and Southend Victoria and between Wickford and Southminster.
    Sheringham station is closed for major improvement work and buses will replace trains between Cromer and Sheringham.
    Buses will replace trains between Ipswich and Felixstowe.
    The line between Reedham and Great Yarmouth via Berney Arms is closed. All trains which usually travel via Berney Arms will travel via Acle.

    On Easter Sunday:

    Trains will not run between London Liverpool Street and Hackney Downs until 09:50. Until this time, trains will be diverted via an alternative route, extending journey times slightly.
    Buses will replace trains between Norwich and Great Yarmouth / Lowestoft.
    Buses will replace trains between Ipswich and Norwich / Bury St Edmunds.

    Southeastern

    From Good Friday to Easter Sunday, trains will not run on the Woolwich or Bexleyheath Lines.

    On Easter Sunday:

    Trains between Grove Park / Bromley South and Orpington will be slightly retimed.
    Buses will replace trains between Tonbridge and Ashford International / Maidstone West.

    Southern

    On Good Friday and Easter Saturday, an amended timetable will run with a reduced service to / from London Victoria. Some services will be diverted to run to / from London Bridge.

    From Good Friday to Easter Monday, trains will not run between Clapham Junction and Milton Keynes Central.

    On Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, an amended timetable will run. The following alterations will also apply:
    There will be no service at Crystal Palace.
    Buses will replace trains between Balham and Norwood Junction / West Croydon.

    Thameslink
    Good Friday 19 April

    Trains will not call at Kentish Town. Replacement buses will run between West Hampstead Thameslink and London St Pancras International, calling at Kentish Town

    Easter Sunday 21 April

    Buses replace trains between Mill Hill Broadway and London St Pancras International

    Trains will not call at Kentish Town. Replacement buses will run between West Hampstead Thameslink and London St Pancras International, calling at Kentish Town.

    Services to / from Wimbledon / Sutton will not run. We advise customers to use alternative Southern services and London buses to reach their destination.
