    Weekend Service Changes & Advisories

    In observance of Christmas Day, MUNI & BART will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on December 25th. MUNI & BART and Moovit wish you and your families a very happy holidays.

    BART will run a Holiday/Sunday schedule on Christmas with service starting around 8am. Parking is free on holidays.

    In anticipation of light ridership during the week between Christmas and New Year’s, BART typically modifies its schedule by selectively reducing service where lower ridership is expected.

    Accordingly, BART will trim peak-commute weekday Pittsburg/Bay Point trains that usually run in the early morning hours and in the mid-afternoon. Instead of running trains five minutes apart on the Pittsburg/Bay Point (Yellow) line, trains will run every 10 to 15 minutes. This modified commute-time schedule will be in place from

    MUNI

    On Thursday, Dec. 25, 20145 the following weekday- and weekday/Saturday-only bus routes will not run:

    1AX, 1BX, 5L, 8AX, 8BX, 9L, 14X, 28L, 31AX, 31BX, 38AX, 38BX, 38L, 41, 80X, 81X, 82X, 83X, 88.

    The 76X Marin Headlands Express will run.

    All other bus routes and rail lines will use the Sunday schedule.

    The Muni Metro will open at 8 a.m.

    Supplemental service, for school days only, will not run.
